Sniper

Sniper

A Poem by Sonya

               Your eyes decieve

              My hatred proceeds

              Your charm's lost effect

               You lies reflect

              What guides me towards you

             What brings me forward

What lures me into your trap?

             Your eyes a sniper

             My addiction, capture

              Dark clouds asunder

             My foolishness a wonder

              A withered rose

              Your attractive pose

What brings me towards your painful beauty

               Why can't I retreat?

I loved this poem, however I'm a bit confused as to how the charm lost its effect, but he/you is still drawn to them?

Basic attraction is hard to ignore and you certainly described the overwhelming nature of desire. I enjoyed this poetic dilemma because I felt the emotion through your words.

Beauty can bring down a beast. A powerful poem. Every line was useful. I like the fear and hunger in the same moment. A excellent poem.
