Lacking of horizontal focus..

Lacking of horizontal focus..

A Poem by Charlotte e.e. Griffiths

Lacking of horizontal focus,
   Of compassion,
        Of comfort,
Of the willingness to press hard enough
             to condemn myself,
Deliberately fornicating cravings
        which collected in my composure,
With hands which flooded
            with the absence of life,
And between the pain,
                the kindness,
                      the fear,
I found the presence of impending
                           doom,
                                 looming overhead

  I stood on the high-rise.

                                        I let it consume me.

Very witty title for a very interesting poem, your flow is always so smooth, yet leaving me on the cusp of knowing and not knowing, which makes for intriguing writing that I keep going back to and getting different meanings from each time, tho I know they are my own interpretations. The way you combine certain words make them read in a very delectable way, they have connecting substance that feels so damn poetic, get a real Kerouac/Rimbaud/and a dash of Baudelaire for doom.
