Absence of Art

Absently captured by

                    the speculation of time,

My showered silence perceives,  

   Past the pinnacle of 

                      welcomed desolation,

   Beneath the eternity 

                       of assumed solitude,

 Finds the misanthropy dealt by 

           metropolitan madness,

 

Demand absent-eyed filth, 

     

     Beg fornicated failure, 

  But, 

     

      not once, 

     

           yield the conformity of the 

         indistinguishable, irrelevant 

                                           love.

I could picture myself reading a full volume of your work while drowning pints on a sunny afternoon and being mesmerized. This feels like an existential piece, with the questioning of time and reality as the mad city moves along like a movie just for you that may cease to exist if you were not sitting there, reminded me of that scene of Sartre sitting in the café watching people go by and wondering the theatre of it all. I dig your stuff.

This Poem Is Very Much Long Worlds Rolling Off One's Tongue; But In Such A Way So Effectively Placed For The Benefit Of Emotional Substance. The Lines Hand-In-Hand & Their Fluidity Is Both Jagged In Poetic Realism, Yet Comfortably Placed; Along With The Spacing Of The Poem; As Such That It Creates A Beautiful Imagery. Lovely Poem Piece Overall; Am Always Of A Fan Of Alternate Stylistics In Format & Structure - & The Content Is Simply Beautiful. Well Worth A Read! x
