         Summary
This is the sequel to “You Never Know”. Lanna is trying to adjust to her new life with Danny. Meanwhile, the boys; K.C., Neer, and Nate are trying to adjust with not being with Lanna as often as they’d like. There’s also that one little issue with Taylor. Will it get resolved? “You Never Know, but You Can Find Out”

Colorful yet, still welcoming, the light green walls were beautiful. The bed had a flower vine pattern set in blue and green. The room was either green or blue. Lanna’s favorite colors, like the earth and sea. Very convenient.

“I can’t believe that this thing is actually going to live in my house. Danny, it’s so hideous!” It was Danny’s little brother, Nikki. He was such a wonderful little brat.

“Uhhh…” Lanna wanted to tell that kid off right there, but she didn’t want to terrorize the 10 year old boy.

“Shut up and go find a well to fall into Nikki.” Danny came into the room, pushing his brother out and closing the door.

“Wow, you’re such an abusive older brother.” Lanna joked as she started putting her cloths in the giant closet. “They really over did it.” Lanna thought.

“Whatever. You know you wanted to tell him off too.” Danny smiled and put his arm around Lanna. She instinctively turned around and threw a punch. Danny had let her go and dogged the punch instantly.

“Not bad my little honey bun, but next time, let me hug you in peace.” Danny laughed and quickly walked out of the room.

“Aw man, I’m going to worry about myself for a long time. He’s such a freak.” Lanna muttered to herself. She turned to her suitcase and saw a framed photo of her and the boys. K.C. had his tongue sticking out and his arm around Lanna’s waist. Neer was on her other side. He has Lanna’s arm linked with his. He was winking. Nate was behind her. He ruffled her hair. That photo brought back some really good memories. Lanna finally finished unpacking. She sat on her new bed.

“It’s comfortable” she said as she lay on the bed. “The room’s so nice. I wonder if it was like this before. Can I really live here?” Lanna asked herself. Deciding whether or not to stay would be saved for the end of the week.

*Knock, knock*

Lanna almost jumped out of her skin when she heard the knock at the door.

“Hey, ugly thing, why are you still here?”

“What?” Lanna was confused for a second. She got up and opened the door.

“Hey kid, first things first, I’m not “Ugly thing” I have an even better name, Lanna. Get it straight or don’t speak my name at all. Second, I’m staying for as long as I want. It’s your house too, I know, but you’re going to have to get used to the fact that you’re going to share it with me now. So, what do you want?” Lanna smiled triumphantly as she finished her little speech.

Poor kid just looked at her. Not even blinking. No one had ever talked to him like that before. He usually got to say and do whatever he wanted. This was like a slap in the face from reality for him.

“Nikki! Are you bothering Lanna?” Hanna had come up the stairs. She was wearing an apron. It was purple with pink and white stars on it.

“Um…” Nikki seemed a little awe stricken.

“No, he wasn’t bothering me at all Hanna. He was just welcoming me. He’s such a sweet kid,” Lanna smiled. She’s a good liar. She played her cards well when she had to.

“Oh, that’s wonderful!” Hanna looked so happy. If she wasn’t careful, she could get too happy and s**t a rainbow! “Lunch will be ready soon. I hope you like fried chicken and french fries.” Hanna smiled.

“That’s my favorite.” Lanna replied.

“Great” Hanna went back down stars.

There was a moment of awkward silence.

“You’re crazy.” Nikki said as he ran off into his room.

“Sure, I’m crazy, but I’m an awesome kind of crazy.” Lanna whispered to herself.

*Pop champagne, ohhh, we need more bottles tell ma hurry up*- Pop Champagne by Jim Jones was her ring tone. She picked it up and looked at the caller I.D.

“The Stupid One” is what it said. Lanna obviously knew who it was.

“Hello K.C.” she sighed. He wouldn’t stop calling her!

“Lanna, I miss youuuu! I’m going to die of boredom if I don’t see youuuuu! Are you okay? Are those mean people treating you right?” he sounded like a desperate mother. “If Danny does any stupid s**t, then call me and I’ll be over there in a flash to punch him in the face.” K.C. was talking, but no one was listening. Every time he called her, he’d go on and on about some random crap for half an hour. Lanna couldn’t help herself. She stopped listening after about five minutes.

“K.C… shut up. You talk wayyyyy to much. My minutes are running out so damn fast because of you.” Lanna said abruptly.

“Oh…” K.C. sounded disappointed. “Then, I guess I’ll go now. Bye Lanna.” He hung up.

Lanna didn’t like making him feel bad but, she just couldn’t stand him any longer.

“Lunch is ready Lanna!” Hanna called from the bottom of the stairs.

“A-alright, I’ll be there in a minute.” Lanna called back.

“It already feels like you’ve been living here your whole life.” Danny came into the room. “Come on, I have some thing I need to give you.” He gestured towards the door.

“Okay then, can it wait until after lunch?” Lanna was pretty hungry.

“Okay you little fatty.” As soon as he said that last word, he took off down the hall and down the stairs. Lanna chased after him immediately, yelling threats after him.

“I was kidding!!!” that’s what Danny wanted to say, but Lanna was pinching both of his cheeks so it came out more like this “Im waaasszz kwidwing!”

“You bet you were. You’re the one that’s a fatty.” Lanna laughed and sat down at the table.

“You guys look like you get along well. I’m so glad!” Hanna exclaimed as she set some crispy french fries on the table.

“Hah! Getting along isn’t really what I’d call it.” Lanna muttered

“Pfftt, I’ll make you fall in love with me Lanna. That’s a promise. And I never break the promises I make.” Danny whispered this into Lanna’s ear while Hanna wasn’t paying attention.

Breathless.

Lanna was absolutely breathless. Utterly and completely shocked. Mostly frightened by the sudden promise.

“Is everything alright with you two?” Hanna asked as she put two glasses of soda on the table.

“Just dandy mom” Danny replied. He gave a wink to Lanna.

“This crazy b*****d. Little devil! Evil mutant monkey! Make me, fall in love with him? Puh-leeze! In his dreams! He wishes I’d fall in love with him. I never would. He’s perverted and retarded and…and… AHHRRGG he’s just plain INSANE!!! And not the good kind of insane like me!” Lanna was having a mini spas attack in her brain.

“…Nikki for me please”

“Lanna!”

Back to reality. When Lanna looked around, she saw that Hanna and Danny were staring at her. Danny had a smug look on his face. Hanna on the other hand, looked worried,

“Uh…sorry, could you repeat that?”

“She asked if you’d get Nikki.” Danny said quietly.

“I didn’t ask you.” Lanna snapped back as she shot a death glare at Danny. He just smiled his goofy smile. “Of course I will Hanna. Excuse me.” Lanna got up and pushed her chair away. As she did that, Lanna’s vision started to blur. The room seemed as if she were on a merry-go-round. Her grasp on the chair slipped and her feet couldn’t support her. Obviously, she fell.

“Lanna!”

“Are you alright?”

“What happened?”

Those were the last words Lanna heard before everything went absolutely blank.

Week old mayonnaise and syrup. Imagine your nose being filled with that, would you be able to breathe? Five power drills banging on your head at one time. That would be more than a serious headache. You’re body, as numb as if you had been out in a blizzard for an hour with only shorts and a t-shirt on.

That’s what Lanna felt like. It was horrible. Actually, horrible was an understatement.

“Then, she’ll be alright?”

“Yes, she’ll be fine but, she’ll need to stay out of school for about three days.”

“Thank goodness.”

“Mmm…uhhh…” That’s the only sound Lanna could make.

“Ah, sleeping beauty is awake. I didn’t even have to kiss her either. Too bad. Then again, I can do it if you’d like.” Danny smirked and set a tray down beside Lanna on the bed. “You’ve been knocked out for… two hours my darling. You worried Hanna sick. And by the way, you should thank me. You would’ve had a really hard blow to the head if I didn’t catch you. Just like prince charming, right?” Danny smiled and lifted a spoon up to Lanna’s lips.

“What the hell??? I don’t need you to help me! And, prince charming? Yeah right! More like prince charming got swallowed by the big bad wolf. Now that’s a fairytale you can tell the kids! And I never asked you to help me. I’ll say thank you only if I really want to. Idiot.” Lanna was sick but her mind was furious. Luckily she couldn’t talk or else, Danny would have heard all of that.

“Come on, open up. I’m trying to help you. Just forget out all the other things I did to you. I want to help. That’s all.” Danny smiled a sweet and innocent smile at Lanna.

“Yeah right, you’ll probably want something in return for this. I can’t trust a play-boy like you!” Lanna thought. She tried to lift her arm to reach the spoon and push Danny away from her. Obviously, she couldn’t. She managed to move her arm enough to cause a jerk and make Danny move further away from her.

“Jeez, you’re so stubborn. You’re like a donkey, totally stubborn. You’ll never get a good boyfriend with that kind of attitude.” Danny laughed and then put the spoon to Lanna’s lips again.

Once again, she refused to open her mouth for the food.

Then, Danny did something he would regret to the fullest. He held the spoon in one hand. His other hand, moved slowly so that Lanna wouldn’t notice the movement. He distracted her by trying to force the spoon to get into her mouth. And then, his other hand, reached her side.

“AHAHAHA~”

“Got’cha!” Danny exclaimed.

*Gulp*

Danny had used a finger to poke Lanna’s side and it made her laugh. And, of course, her mouth opened. Danny instantly shoved a spoonful of food in Lanna’s mouth and used his hand to cover her mouth. His other hand pinched her nose so she couldn’t breath. She either had to swallow or not breathe. Of course, she swallowed.

“You tricky little play-boy b*****d!!! YOU’RE GONNA PAYYYY~!” Lanna’s face turned red from the fury that was bubbling in her mind.

“I’m so awesome aren’t I? I got the most stubborn donkey to do what I want. Wouldn’t it be bad if everyone knew about that?” Danny had a look on his face that said “I have a plan up my sleeve.”

Lanna shot back a glare that said “I dare you to try to do anything. As soon as I get better I will hurt you so badly you’ll end up back in Hanna’s stomach.”

“Don’t get all twisted up honey. I’m just playing. I’m not doing this for fun. I’m helping you because I want to. Besides, I don’t play dirty.” Danny winked and then said “I’m going to tell Hanna that you’re not eating and she’s going to come up here and insist on feeding you herself. You know how busy she is and that would only trouble her.”

He was playing the Hanna card. He really knew how to push her buttons. She really did know that Hanna was very busy. She didn’t want to be a burden.

So, the stubborn donkey gave in and opened her mouth as a sign that she’d given up. Danny smiled and put another spoonful of food in her mouth.

“Damn it all! He doesn’t play dirty? Using Hanna as an excuse is playing dirty!!!” Lanna though. She swallowed another spoonful. Now that she wasn’t trying to push the food away, she could actually taste it. It was delicious, probably some kind of stew.

“You’re a good girl deep down Lanna. I made a good choice. I was serious about making you love me. I’m not giving up. Even if you keep on rejecting me. I’ll keep going until every ounce of dignity left in me is gone. I’m serious and that won’t change. I’ve never seen someone like you before. And I like what I see.” Danny got up and took the tray of food with him. Lanna had finished it all.

“You only like what you see because you’ve never seen anyone like me! Why can’t you get that? I wouldn’t go for a play-boy like you anyway! Why would you want me? You could have any other girl in town. Why me? It doesn’t make any sense. And for once, he’s being serious, and to me, it’s just a huge, cruel joke! I DON’T GET ITTTTT~!” Lanna never got tired of yelling in her mind. Danny’s really lucky she couldn’t talk. After thinking long and hard about how he could choose her over all those other girls, Lanna fell asleep.

The Next Morning

“Well, how the hell did she get sick then you b*****d???”

“Well you’re the ones that let her jump into a river when the water’s freezing cold. It’s not like I can control if a virus flies up her noise. Besides, she’s looking better than yesterday. I’m taking care of her of course. So I won’t be in school and neither will she. Now you guys need to get back to school. Lunch break is almost over.”

“Don’t do anything stupid or you’ll get your throat slit by me you perverted retard.”

*Door slam*

“Jeez, they’re really funny. Their treats aren’t too cool though.” Danny said to himself.

“Mmmfff…” Lanna was trying to show she was awake. Her throat felt better then it did before “...Upid…one…come here” she managed to say.

“Hey, lucky me, my honey bun can talk again. You can thank me now and then tell me how much you love me.” Danny chuckled and walked over to Lanna’s bedside.

“You...w-wish” Lanna managed to say. She sat up and swung her feet over the side of her bed.

“Where do you think you’re going?” Danny asked her while trying to push her back down on the bed.

“…Toilet.” Lanna said bluntly.

“Uhhh…” Danny was trying to think if he should let her go or not. She could hurt herself while she was walking around in there or she might really need to go.

“Well, when you gotta’ go, ya’ gotta go.” Danny chuckled again and helped Lanna off of her bed. “You seem to be getting better really fast. I’m glad.” Danny said as he walked her down the hall. He had one hand holding her waist while one of her arms slung over his shoulders. She could support herself better but her balance was so bad, it was like the three blind mice with rollerblades on.

“Whatever.” Lanna shoved herself away from Danny and went into the bathroom, slamming the door shut behind her.

“I’ll be at the door just in case!” Danny called to her.

“That’s way too creepy.” Lanna said as she slid out of her t-shirt. It was purple and blue. K.C. had given it to her as a Christmas present one year. It fit her perfectly. It wasn’t baggy; it was just the right size. The whole shirt was a royal blue color and the patterns were of flowers and birds with swirls and beautiful designs. It wasn’t over designed but it matched her well. Then, she got out of her pajama pants (which she doesn’t remember putting on) and undressed herself and got into the shower.

*Sound of shower running*

“You’re taking a bath??? I want to come in tooooo~” Danny exclaimed from the other side of the door.

“Lucky, I remembered to lock the door. I’m not sick enough to forget something like that when I’m living with him.” Lanna whispered to herself. She giggled and began to shampoo her hair with the water lily and aloe shampoo. “Smells nice.” She thought.

“Lanna, you know I love you right baby?” Danny asked. There was no hint of jokiness in his voice.

“Crazy guy. How long is he going to play with me like that?” she asked herself. She rinsed off, grabbed a towel and wrapped it around herself.

“Are you coming out? I’ll help you walk.” Danny insisted.

“It’s fine. I can walk myself. I feel a lot better. I can talk without my voice cracking now. So go do whatever it is you usually do. Don’t let me stop you.” Lanna unlocked the door.

*Boom*

“Wha-“

“You don’t bother me. Don’t think like that. Please. I know that your impression of me is bad, but I can change. For you. I’m being extremely serious.” Danny automatically bursted into the room and hugged Lanna as soon as she unlocked it. His arms were still around her waist. He had his head resting on her shoulder. His mouth near her ear so she could hear him when he said those words to her. His cloths were getting wet from her dripping hair. Lanna only stood. Frozen, absolutely frozen. Trying to understand the situation. Her mind had nothing in it. For once, her mind was completely empty. Not knowing what to do, what to say, how to stop him from being near her. Nothing was getting to her brain.

Lanna started to shiver. She was only wrapped in one white wool towel, standing in a large bathroom.

“Lanna, let’s go. You’re shivering. Is that from the cold, or from me?” Danny whispered. He hugged her tighter to his frame.

Honestly, Lanna had no idea. And that is what frustrated her the most. The very thought of him touching her like he was now, would have absolutely killed her from the inside out. Strange thing is, right now, it didn’t make her feel that way. Really, killing her from the inside out.

“Come on, you’re going to get even more sick than you already are.” Danny guided her out of the bathroom.

Lanna’s feet moved normally but to her, they felt like 50,000 pounds. Her mind was completely empty still. She could only imagine the stupid expression she must’ve had on her face. A stupid expression like one of K.C.’s would be the worst.

She felt the soft, cushy bed under her as she heard her closet door opening. She figured she must’ve been in her room. She knew where she was, but she just couldn’t comprehend anything yet. Everything seemed distant and strange.

“Hmmm…what kind of underwear shall you wear tonight?” Danny smiled and opened Lanna’s drawers.

That got her snapped back into reality.

“GET OUT, YOU NASTY PERVERTED MAN W***E!!!!!!!!” Lanna screamed, grabbed her towel so it wouldn’t slip, and punched Danny in his face. She caught him completely off guard so he didn’t have anytime to dodge or defend himself. Direct hit in his left eye, that would leave a pretty mark the next day.

“Uhh…holy crap girl, I’m out, I’m out, just don’t shoot me!” Danny said as he practically ran out of her room.

That was a nice reality check.

“That felt good.” Lanna exclaimed as she got dressed in a red shirt and purple pajama pants that had pictures of puppies on them. “That jerk finally got what was coming to him. I can’t believe he touched me. And I wasn’t even dressed! I should hit him full on! He’s lucky I didn’t! He would have been in the hospital by now if I had. That B*****D!!! I HATE HIS GUTS. I even hate his smell. That musty smell of cologne, and his ugly hair. It’s all brown and EW. Wait, why the hell did I pay attention to that? How do I know what he smells like??? Why do I pay attention to the color of his hair??? Well, his smell I would know because…he hugged me! Yeah, that’s why! And his hair…well, it’s the same color as Hanna’s! There. Perfect explanations!” Lanna was getting a little fruit loops. When she finished dressing, she decided to lie down. Her head was still feeling kind of bad. The rest of her was fine. She probably didn’t even have a fever anymore. “Lucky me” Lanna thought.

*Knock knock*

“Lanna, are you there sweetie? It’s me honey, Hanna. I need to speak with you for a moment if you’re feeling well.” Lanna got up slowly and unlocked her door to open it. Hanna was in her own pajamas which, Lanna thought, suited her very nicely.

“I’m feeling much better now Hanna. I’d be glad to talk. Come in.” Lanna moved aside to let Hanna in her room and shut the door. She locked it just in case the little brat or the perverted man w***e came in. “So, what’s up?”

“Well, Lanna, I’m really happy you came here to live with us. And I’m hoping so much that you decide to stay with us here. The thing is…you and Danny. You guys seem to fight a lot. If you don’t like him, I’m not forcing you to stay. He’s gotten very lively and he seems happier now that you’re here. I like seeing him smile. He smiled before, but I could tell that it was just for show. He always used to hang around with all those girls. Always they were…hmm...how do I put this? They were-“

“Skanky” Lanna suggested bluntly. Even though she was really intelligent, she was extremely blunt.

“Uhhh…yes, I suppose that would fit.” They both laughed and Hanna said; “It would be nicer if you guys got along better. I think he even enjoys when you guys fight. It’s like a game to him. But uh, I saw the little present you gave him in his left eye. That’s a mean punch you’ve got hun. *laughs* I think he probably did something to deserve that, did he not?” Lanna nodded slowly. “Well then, that’s fine with me. If he does some stupid stuff to you, just punch him whenever you need to. He needs to learn some manners.” Hanna smiled and got up from Lanna’s bed. She walked to the door and the girls said their goodnights. Lanna closed the door and went to sit at her desk.

“That wasn’t weird at all.” Lanna said sarcastically.  She looked at the clock. It was already 11:08. “I’m lucky today.” It was a Friday luckily, so she wouldn’t be tired for school. “Maybe I should sleep… I’m sick after all.” Lanna wanted to stay up and watch some TV in the living room downstairs. She had one in her room but she wanted to get out of her room. So, she went downstairs.

As Lanna walked downstairs, she saw that someone was in the kitchen. It wasn’t Hanna because; she had already gone to sleep. It looked like Danny, but way shorter.

“Uhg, it’s the brat.” Lanna said as she walked towards the kitchen to see what the little thing was up to. “So, what are you doing down here this late Nikki?” Lanna asked him with an uninterested tone.

“It’s none of your business you old, wrinkly lady.” Nikki exclaimed as he ran up to his room, a sandwich in his hands.

“YOU LITTLE BOOGER!” Lanna screamed after him.  She walked to the living room with a can of Sprite in her hands. She was sipping it and went to turn on the TV. She wasn’t paying attention to where she sat. She just sat. And what she sat on was…

“Uhhh… babe, you’re heavier than you look.”

Lanna jumped up, spilling her soda all over the yellow carpet. Her heart nearly jumped out of her chest. She touched her chest to make sure her heart was still beating. She looked over to the couch reluctantly; afraid of whom she would see. But, she looked anyway.

Of course, it had to be the one and only, Danny. He really likes showing up when he’s not wanted.

“You-You practically gave me a freaking heart attack!” Lanna shouted as she walked towards him looking like a lioness ready to kill her prey. “Why are you always there when I don’t want you to be? Why are you acting so strangely? Why do you like me? Why not one of your little big-breasted s***s? Why is it you? EXPLAIN TO ME WHY I CAN’T UNDERSTAND!!!” Lanna looked more like an evil dragon that would kill Rapunzel or something. Danny just sat up on the couch and smiled at her. It wasn’t mocking but somehow, it pissed Lanna off. “Give me one reason why I shouldn’t pound your face into the couch right now. Or at least answer one of my questions.” Lanna sat down on the floor, legs folded, hands in her lap and still staring intensely at Danny.

“You had so many questions; I don’t know which one to answer first.” Lanna twitched with anger at his answer. She restrained herself from choking him to death right then and there. She let him continue. “Well, one reason you shouldn’t pound my face into the furniture is that you would ruin your boyfriend’s face and because I don’t think Hanna would like me in the furniture, maybe in the freezer where she couldn’t hear me complain.” Danny didn’t smile when he said all of that. His expression was dead serious.

“Wha-What the hell? I might’ve hit him too hard in the eye and it hurt his brain.” Lanna fumed inside her head. Her head rants were getting much closer to reality. She calmed herself down.

“I’m not joking. You piss me off a lot. I don’t know why. You just do. And, and, I’m not even supposed to be fighting with you. Hanna notices our little b***h fits. Oh and um, sorry for your right eye… I’m going to get a mouthful from your little fan club tomorrow.” Lanna kept sliding into a couple different topics.

“You’re going to school tomorrow? Are you sure? You’re feeling better right?” Danny wouldn’t even let her answer his questions. He seemed really concerned about her. It didn’t seem right at all to Lanna.

“Yes I’m going to school. Duh I’m all better. No thanks to you. Crazy perverted man w***e.” Lanna sighed and Danny chuckled. “I don’t need you to care about me. I can take care of myself just fine. I’ve been doing it all my life. So I don’t need anyone to start looking after me now.” Lanna gave Danny a stern look, got up, and went upstairs.

“The more you ignore me, somehow, the more I become interested in you Lanna.” Danny whispered to himself. He rubbed his face with his hands. He got a face full of Lanna butt. Apparently, he really didn’t mind it.

Danny got up from the couch and went to check his face in the mirror that was in the kitchen. His right eye was turning a nice bluish color. Luckily, his face didn’t look flat.

“Thank God she doesn’t have a big butt.” Danny laughed to himself and then went upstairs to his room.

Lanna couldn’t sleep that night. She stayed up all night on her computer. She was watching random stuff and listening to music. She was talking to Neer on aim too.

(Neer)JapXbo1X: Are you better? Nate, K.C., and me went to visit you this morning. You were sound asleep. Danny made us go to school. Are you coming back tomorrow?
(Lanna)Smart4ss: Oh, that’s who I heard. I was wondering about that. Yeah I’m coming back tomorrow. Some weird crap keeps happening. It’s no biggy though. If you see Danny with a black eye tomorrow, I did it.
JapXbo1X: Damn. What did he do to you? I’m going to get Nate to kick his a*s. I’m sure K.C. will be up for it too. He kept going on and on about how he wanted to just grab you and take you out of Danny’s house right there and then. He’ll get into serious trouble one day if he keeps acting like a crack head.
Smart4ass: That’s for sure. It’ll be his problem though. I miss you guys a lot. Let’s do something after school tomorrow.
JapXBo1X: Are you up to it? We wouldn’t want you passing out while we were in the mall or something.
Smart4ss: Of course I’m up to it. Are you insane? I’m definitely going to the mall.
JapXbo1X: That’s one quality of a girl that you’ll never get rid of.
Smart4ass: You know it hun. Lol I’ll talk to you some other time. I feel like listening to music. Bye bye and night night.
JapXbo1X: XoXo babe.
End of Conversation

Lanna didn’t go to sleep so she was already for school when Danny woke up. She rushed out of her room and went down stairs to grab a bowl of cereal. When Danny saw her rushing all over the place, he smiled to himself. It wasn’t usually this lively in the morning. The feeling of it was nice.

“I could get used to you in the morning.” Danny said as Lanna speeded past him when he came out of the bathroom looking ready for anything.

“Yeah sure whatever. Come on let’s get to school.” Lanna pushed Danny down the stairs lightly so that he wouldn’t have an accident this early in the morning. Danny practically had to jump the steps or else Lanna would push him all the way down.

“What’s the rush? School doesn’t start until 45 minutes from now. You sure are hyper this early in the morning.” Danny thought for a moment as he took a bite of the piece of toast he had in his hand. He tried to put on his shoes while holding the toast with his mouth. “Were you waiting for me honey? That’s so sweet. You should walk home with me too.” Danny smiled as he and Lanna walked out of the door.

“We’re leaving!” They both shouted was Lanna closed the door behind them.
“Like I said, you were waiting for me?” Danny asked with a huge grin on his face. He really did have a black eye. He didn’t look like he cared though.

“No, it’s just that I wanted to make Hanna happy. She needs to think that we get along better.” Lanna said with out looking at him. She was walking at a fast pace that Danny had no trouble keeping up with.

“Why pretend? We are getting along a little better, aren’t we?” Danny asked seeming hopeful.

“Are you blind? I gave you a black eye last night. Did you not notice that? How is that getting along?” Lanna asked as they reached the front of their school. “Don’t talk to me while we’re in school. I don’t need your fan girls trying to murder me. I have better things to do. I’m not walking home with you. I’m going somewhere with the guys. So stay away. Pretend that we don’t even know each other. Better yet, act like that all the time. You got it?” Lanna walked into the building without waiting for his reply. They both entered their homeroom class.

“I see that you both are back today. Glad to have you. Please take a seat. Do you have notes?” their homeroom teacher was a nice woman. She only yelled when she hit the breaking point. She’s the social studies teacher.

“Yes I have a note Mrs. Kaynen.” Danny walked to her desk and handed her a note. She read it over and looked shocked but there was a bit of amusement in her face too. She suddenly smiled widely.

“Alright then, take your seats. Get ready for the day. I’m going to the teacher’s lounge for a minute. Be good.” Mrs.Kaynen walked out of the room and everyone started going off in their own little conversations.

“Welcome back baby!!! I’ve missed you! Are you feeling better? Did you miss me too?” K.C. hugged Lanna from behind.

“Get off of me you blockhead. I’m perfectly fine. But if you keep hugging me like that you’re not going to be fine.” K.C. let go of her and started humming a tuneless song.

“It’s good to see you again.” Nate said as he took out a red notebook and began finishing his homework.

“It’s kind of good to be back.” Lanna said as she looked around the room. Her eyes finally lead her to the back of the class. It was where Danny was seated. He was staring back at her. Two girls next to him were speaking. He looked like he was uninterested. Instead, Lanna was more interesting.

She quickly turned away. Then she remembered.

“Oh no, Taylor! That girl! She, she’s probably thinking I didn’t come to school yesterday because I was hiding. Oh no, that’s not good. She’s going to bring it on me double time. Damn. Fine, if I have to give her a lesson, I will. I’m not afraid of her. Only thing is, she knows about my life. I know nothing of hers. I have no counter attack. She has those other b*****s on her side too. It makes her have an advantage. Almost all the girls in this school will be on her side if they all got her little recording. Danny would probably make it all worse by saying “Don’t mess with my girlfriend” or something retarded like that.” Lanna was talking to herself but the boys overheard. They all looked at each other. All of them had tried to come up with a plan to take Taylor down. It was easier said than done. They couldn’t come up with anything. Even though they all loved Lanna so much, they couldn’t help her in her time of need. It wasn’t right.

“Lanna, no one had said anything about the incident at all. It’s either they’re all putting up a front or something went wrong.” Neer said.

“Let’s hope that it was something that went wrong.” Nate added.

“What are we going to do?” K.C. asked.

“Well duh, that’s what we’re trying to figure out you idiot. I really wonder how you even got past the 2nd grade. Jeez.” Neer smiled at K.C. and then put a hand on Lanna’s shoulder. “We’ll all work together to figure out a way to settle things with Taylor.” Neer encouraged her to smile and act like her usual self. It would give Taylor pleasure to see Lanna in despair he said. So, Lanna tried to forget about Taylor. It wasn’t easy, but the guys tried their best to distract her.
Soon it was lunch break. Everyone in the 8th grade went to lunch. Lanna and the guys would be seeing Taylor. Not so good.

“You think she got over it?” K.C. whispered to Nate.

“Not a chance.” He whispered back.

“Hey Lanna, did you happen to tell Danny about what happened with Taylor?” Neer asked. Surprise laced his voice.

“Um, no, why?” Lanna asked as she sat down at her usual spot at their table.

“That’s why” Neer said as he pointed to the other classes table. The class Taylor was in.

It was Danny. He was standing behind Taylor’s chair. She seemed extremely happy to see him. She probably forgot about what she’d said about him already. What a ditz.  Taylor started laughing and Danny smiled at her. She flipped her hair back with her hand. She flashed a big smile at him. He returned it.

“Are-are they…flirting?!?” The guys asked at the same time.

Lanna was speechless. Her brain couldn’t process the horrible seen. It was so…unnatural. Lanna’s mouth was hanging so wide, K.C. could’ve probably could fit his whole foot in it. Lovely site.

“Holy crap. What the hell. This is too much for me too take. It’s to CRAZY!” Lanna got up and walked back to the classroom.

The boys followed her, bringing their lunches with them.

“That was beyond psycho crazy.” Neer said as he sat as his desk. He started spooning up a spoonful of chocolate cookie dough ice cream.

“What do you think he’s doing? He knew that she said s**t about him right?” Nate asked. He sat on his desk with his feet on his chair. He was eating a bag of flaming hot Cheetos. He grabbed the bottle of water that was next to him. He gulped it down after he’s finished the whole bag of chips in three minutes.

“Yeah he did know. He might be up to something then!” Neer was biting into an apple. He had a chicken fillet on his lap. He smiled at Lanna. Neer always tried his best to not jump to conclusions. He looked at things with different perspectives.

“Hmmm, I highly doubt it. He’s probably just hitting on her to get what he wants and drop her like a stone. I’m sure that she wouldn’t mind it either. Any attention from him is the kind she wants. I’m sure if he was to yell at her, she’d love it.” Lanna pondered the possibilities.

“I go with Lanna’s ide-” K.C. was cut short in his sentence when he suddenly saw Taylor walk through their classroom door.

Lanna turned to look, then Nate and Neer. Everyone’s eyes frozen on the smirk that was plastered on Taylor’s face.

“Hi Lanna, are you feeling better now?” Taylor asked, the smirk still stuck on her face. Lanna stared at her for a moment.

“I’m perfectly fine. Thanks for asking.” Lanna said the words with a tone that was as cold as a blizzard. Her face was blank.

“That’s great. I’m glad you’re better. You know, I’m actually very sorry for what I did to you before. I didn’t send out the recording. Danny made me see that it wasn’t right.” Taylor’s smirk grew into a huge grin. Her face was glowing like it was 500 light bulbs inside her head.

“Really, that’s so nice of him. One question though, why the hell are you talking to me you back stabbing piece of dog s**t?” Lanna threw her words at Taylor with a fair amount of acid lacing them. Still, her expression was blank. Lanna tried to keep a cool head but her anger was slowly leaking out.

“Oh my, seems like you guard guys haven’t taught your mutt any manners yet. Don’t worry; you can always leave her at the pound. Anyway, I’ll just come out and get straight to the point.” Taylor paused, looking all of them in the eye. She looked ready for a challenge. “Danny has made me and him official. It’s true, I’m his new girlfriend.” And with that, Taylor walked off, looking like she could lift off the ground and just fly away. Lanna caught a glimpse of Taylor’s face before she turned to leave. That one wicked and evil smile was on her face. The sight of it sickened Lanna. Not from fear, but from all the anger that started knocking from the inside of her chest.

Lanna went totally berserk.

She walked over to one of the desk, lifted it up over her head and sent it flying out of the classroom door. It landed with a bang so loud. You would’ve thought a bomb exploded. Nate was the first to try and calm Lanna down. His effort was futile. He grabbed her arms but she kicked him from behind and hit his shin so he fell to the ground. She grabbed a glass vase that was on the teacher’s desk. She threw it against the chalk board and it exploded into hundreds of tiny pieces. K.C. approached Lanna cautiously. He actually thought of the consequences this time. He would surely be severely injured if Lanna hit him with her best. He crept up to her from behind and grabbed a hold of her waist. She struggled violently to escape his grasp. Her effort was waste.

He quickly ran out of the school’s doors with her in her arms, still squirming and wiggling to try and escape his arms that locked her in place like a steel cage.

The other two boys followed after. They’ve never seen Lanna this angry before. Taylor was getting under her skin and it wasn’t good.

“Lanna, honey, calm down. You need to stop moving. Clear you mind and breathe. No one is going to hurt you. We’re help to help you. Think about us, K.C., Neer, and Nate. We’re your brothers. You don’t need to harm us.” Neer tried calming Lanna down. She stopped thrashing around but she still looked like she was ready to bust up a brick wall.

“She, is…not going to stay…not when…I’m around.” Lanna managed to mutter those words without having a spasm.

“It’s his fault.” K.C. screamed as he handed Lanna to Nate and kicked a tree. There was a dent left in the tree’s trunk. K.C. continued to kick it until it almost looked like it lost all its bark.

“Don’t make me calm you down too.” Neer sighed and put his hand on K.C.’s shoulder.

“It is his fault. This time, I agree with K.C.” Nate said as they got closer to the BrokenBridgeRiver.

“I think something’s really wrong with the situation though. Why would he suddenly want to go out with Taylor? Her of all people! He didn’t even know she existed before this day. He’s smarter than he looks.” Neer tried to explain his reasoning to the others but they didn’t seem to like his explanation. It was easier to blame someone for the situation than to think rationally and figure out other possibilities. Blaming people is how other people who are lazy or ignorant solve their problems.

“Neer, why are you sticking up for that b*****d? He caused all of this. We don’t need him around us or Lanna.” Nate said. His voice made his words seen final. No one dared oppose him at that moment.

Nate set Lanna down on the soft grass that was far from the river bank. He didn’t want her getting sick again.

“Thank you” Lanna said as she closed her eyes. She let her body lay motionless on the cool, soft grass.

“Are you alright now honey?” Neer asked as he at next to her in the grass,

“I’m freaking dandy.” Sarcasm was one of her very strong points.

“That’s what I thought.” He replied.

“It’s him!” K.C. emphasized the word him with the most poison he could muster up with his voice. “He’s the reason all of this is happening. If wasn’t here, none of us would have these problems.” K.C. gritted his teeth and clenched his fist as he sat on the other side on Lanna.
“Don’t judge him so quickly.” Lanna whispered. She meant it for only her to hear, but the boys heard it also.

“Lanna, you’re not well. We’re going to the hospital right now!” Nate tried to pick Lanna up off of the ground but she smacked him in the back of his head and he let her go.

“I’m perfectly fine. It’s just, I don’t know. He pisses me off but then, it seems like when I’m with him, it reminds me of being with you guys. I’m just able to do whatever I want and no one would care. It means he understands us. Sometimes he’s out of hand. I really hate him but then I can fully hate him. It sounds really strange but that’s just how it is.” Lanna sighed and got up. She walked towards the river bank. She took off her shoes and dipped her feet into the cool, calm waters. She closed her eyes. It was nice to just drown everything out, even if it was for only a few moments.

“Are you sure you should be doing that?” Neer asked as he sat next to her.

“Why shouldn’t I be? I’m healthy again. And I’m not insane anymore. This makes me feel better. So, any problems?” Lanna smiled and looked at him. He wasn’t smiling.

“Lanna, don’t make us worry about you more than we already do.” He laid back into the grass again and closed his eyes.

“It’s not like she’s doing it on purpose.”

The sudden unfamiliar voice startled Lanna. She looked over her shoulder to see who it was. Neer opened his eyes and bent his head to look too. The others did the same.

“Why the f**k are you hear you perverted man w***e?” Lanna didn’t move from her spot. When she saw Danny’s face, she turned away and started kicking her feet in the water.

“I’m just trying to look after you. I was worried. You and your little buddies weren’t in the classroom and when everyone got there, it looked like someone started a gang fight in there.” Danny replied coolly and calmly.

K.C. snickered and looked at Lanna. There was a small smile on her face.

“I could already guess Lanna probably had another one of her spas attacks.” Danny laughed and then sighed. “I’m assuming you know about her already?” Danny walked down the hill and closer to Lanna. She didn’t turn around to meet his face. As he walked closer to her, the tension got thinker and thinker. “Are you upset with me?” Danny sounded worried. He really cared whether she was mad at him or not. It would cause more problems between them.

“Just back off her, can you not be clinging to her 24/7?” K.C. shot back as he stepped closer to Danny.

“You’re in no position to say that to me. You’re the ones that can’t let her go. You’re the ones that cling to her every moment you can. Are you trying to make me seem worse? It’s obviously not working.” Danny didn’t look at K.C. He just stared at the back of Lanna’s head.
“Why you little punk a*s mother-” K.C. was cut off.

“K.C. can it for once, and Danny, you have no reason to be here. So leave. It’s not a suggestion.” Lanna said as she stopped her kicking feet and grabbed her shoes. She pulled them on her soggy feet and stood up. She was still not facing Danny.

“Lanna…” Danny didn’t know what to say. She sounded and looked REALLY pissed. If he said anything wrong he could be entering the hospital very soon.

“Don’t follow me, any of you.” And with that, Lanna ran past Danny, bumping against his shoulder but not bothering to say sorry or look at him. She just kept running.

“Lanna wait!” K.C. called after her.

“Let her be.” Neer grasped his shoulder and gave him a serious look.

“It’s all your fault.” K.C. muttered as he glared at Danny and walked away. Nate didn’t look at Danny as he followed K.C. Neer stood in front of Danny.

“I’m assuming you have a plan, that’s why I’m trying to reason with them and not punching you in the face right now. I’m giving you my trust. I don’t expect you to betray it.” Neer looked at Danny. He looked right to the core of Danny’s dark green eyes.

“Of course, I wouldn’t do all this stupid stuff without a reason or plan.” He smiled at Neer and Neer did the same.

Neer walked away to follow the other two guys.

“Damn, I think I might’ve caused some serious s**t to go down. Lanna went ape s**t on the classroom, what the hell is she going to do to me when I get home???” Danny’s mind filled with despair as he thought about the pain he was going to have to endure. “She didn’t even listen to me. That girl, she’s troublesome.” Danny started walking back to the house.

“Might as well take the beating now than later” He thought.
Meanwhile, Lanna had tried to walk as calmly as she could while still walking fast. It looked awkward. The boys weren’t tailing her as far as she could tell. She didn’t really decide where to go yet. All she knew was that she couldn’t be anywhere near Danny at that moment. Rage was all that filled her, but she didn’t know its source. She only knew that it was Taylor’s fault. That much was completely obvious.

“But some of that blame has to go to Danny. That stupid idiot! What’s he thinking?” Lanna just kept on walking, not caring where her feet lead her. She was usually able to guess what people thinking because she’s very observant. But with Danny, it’s all jumbled up and she can’t comprehend any of it. That’s why whenever she was around him; it was subtle but a bit infuriating.

Lanna snapped away from her thinking to see that she ended up in the park that her and her mother used to go to when she was smaller.

“Wow, how long has it been since I’ve even come near this place?” Lanna walked a little further to a blue swing. She always used to love swinging with her mother.

Lanna kicked her feet back and forth to start the motion. She started going higher and higher.

“I miss this. I think I should come here more often. MaybeIll bring the ape boys with me.” Lanna smiled to herself.

“Mama! I wanna swing too!” Lanna looked up and saw a little girl around the age of four. She had her orange hair in braided pigtails. Her mother, who looked like her in every way, was chasing after her daughter to the swings.

The little girl propped herself of one of the swings. “Swing me mama! Please!” The girl flashed a big smile. Her two front teeth were missing. Still, her smile was adorable.

“Alright baby. We’ll swing” The mother walked over to the swing and pushed her child gently. They both started smiling and laughing together. It was a really heartfelt moment.
Lanna stopped swinging and left the park. Being there with so many memories made her feel lonely.

“I wonder what you would do if you were in my situation mother?” Lanna whispered as she started home.

With Neer, Nate, and K.C

“Do you think we should go to her house and see if she’s okay?” K.C. asked as he paced around. He’d been restless as soon as they got to his house.

“Calm down or you’ll make a hole in your floor. Goodness.” Neer said while he looked through a magazine. “Can’t you give her space one in a while? You’re like an overprotective mother.” Neer threw the magazine at K.C. and he glared back at Neer.

“Whatever! Fine, I’ll leave her alone for today. Tomorrow I’ll talk to her at school.” K.C. stopped pacing and sat on his bed.

Nate was sleeping on K.C.’s couch. He was tired from the sudden excitement.

“We have issues.” Neer sighed.

“Seriously.” K.C. agreed.

At Danny’s/Lanna’s house

When Lanna got home she took off her shoes and ran upstairs to her bedroom. No one as home, not that she knew of anyway.

Lanna sat at her desk and turned on her computer. She needed music to calm down. Something to relieve her stress, somehow it was music that helped.

She blasted her speakers up (because no one was home) and played “Misery Business” by Paramore.

“I’m in the business of misery let’s take it from the top,
She’s got the body like an hourglass that’s ticking like a clock,
It’s a matter of time before we all run out,
When I thought he was mine she caught him by the mouth,
I waited eight long months she finally set him free,
I told him I couldn’t lie he was the only one for me,
Two weeks and we caught on fire,
She’s got it out for me but I wear the biggest smile~”—Lyrics

Lanna sang along and she was pretty good at singing. That’s what most people told her anyway. She didn’t believe it. She was mostly like her mother and her mother couldn’t carry a tune.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door.

“Turn down the music you whipper snapper!”

“What the hell?” Lanna said as she turned off her music and went to the door.

When she opened the door it was who usually would have been there. None other than.

“Seriously, who says whipper snapper anymore? And if my music is too loud, you’re too old.” Lanna said as she started closing her door again.

“Wait! Just let me talk and explain would you? Stop jumping to conclusions without knowing everything! Come on babe!” Danny put his foot in the door to stop her from closing it.

“You think I’m scared of squishing your foot? Wrong!” Lanna pushed her hardest to try and close the door. Frankly, his safety didn’t matter to her. He was just an annoying bug she had to live with. End of story.

“Ouch! What kind of girlfriend are you??!!!??” Danny screamed as he pushed against her force. His foot was definitely getting crushed. There’d be more than a bruise tomorrow.

“What kind of girlfriend? The kind that IS NOT WITH YOU!!! You shouldn’t be saying those things anyway, Taylor will get angry with you lover boy.” Lanna said as she gave up and stopped pushing on the door. She really didn’t want to hear him make excuses. He just didn’t want her to be mad at him.

“You’re as dense as steel Lanna!” Danny yelled as he walked into the room (actually jumping on one foot into the room) and closing the door.

Lanna flinched. He never raised his voice to her before. She never knew how scary he could look.

“Spit out whatever it is you need to tell me. Hurry up. I’m not in the mood to fight with you.” Lanna said as she lay down on her bed. She grabbed a pillow and hugged it.

“Thank you for finally letting me explain what’s going on.” Danny sat down at the end of Lanna’s bed.

It was quiet for what seemed like forever.

“Well, about Taylor, there’s a reason behind it.” Danny began. The look on his face looked as if he was trying to make every word come out right so he wouldn’t make Lanna mad.

“Yeah, people get together for many reasons. That much is obvious. I’m sure your reason is because you find Taylor attractive. Am I right?” Lanna muttered as she buried her face in the pillow.

“Lanna…are you…” Danny smirked a very evil looking smirk. “Perhaps you feel…jealous towards me and Taylor’s relationship? Is that why you’ve caused such a fit?” Danny was holding in a laugh but a small chuckle escaped from his lips.

Lanna instantly looked up from her pillow and shot him a death glare that would bring down an army of 500. He wasn’t looking at her but he felt the pressure of her dark glance and stopped chuckling immediately.

“Uh…Lanna….um, I didn’t mean to say that. What I meant was…”

“Danny. Your head is clearly in a state of confusion. Either that or you’re as stupid as a blind pig with no nose, a deaf ear, no eyes, one broken leg and one leg that was half bitten off.” Lanna huffed, with her face buried in the pillow once again. “I AM ABSOLUTELY NOT JEALOUS OF TAYLOR! The girl I must admit is more feminine than me but she’s as dumb as a lamppost and dear lord, she’s a spoiled little princess that doesn’t have to lift a finger at all! Not to mention she won’t hesitate to betray someone’s trust for her own needs!” Lanna said as she sat up and stared at Danny.

“But Lanna, see thing is, I know all that stuff about her-“

“And yet you’re still willing to go out with her? Are you insane? You really are! Without a doubt!” Lanna was about to kick him out of her room.

“Good grief Lanna! Let me finish at least one sentence before you interrupt me with your accusations!” Danny got up from the edge of the bed and sat next to Lanna. She just stared at him. She turned away to face the wall. Having him be so close to her brought back the events of yesterday.

Danny hesitated for a moment but then took a piece of Lanna’s long black hair was started playing with it. He twisted it around and smoothed it out.

Lanna wondered what he was doing. Why was he touching her hair? What the hell is his problem?

“Lanna, I can’t tell you everything right now. But you need to just learn to trust me. It’s the only way we can get through this in peace. The only thing you need to do is trust me. And whatever you see between me and Taylor from this point on, don’t believe I have any feelings for it.” Danny said as he kissed Lanna’s head and walked out of her room, closing the door.

“Okay that little moment was not something I expected. It seems like while living here, nothing is what I can expect any more.” Lanna thought. She was blushing bright red from Danny’s words. He was just a perverted idiot. Why did he make her blush?

She figured she’s just sleep on it and see what the future holds for tomorrow.

However, her sleep was interrupted.

Lanna was a sensitive sleeper so she heard it and woke up.

“Lanna, Danny, Nikki, I’m home! Danny, someone’s here for you.” Hanna called as she entered through the front door. She just got home from food shopping and of course the mall.

”Alright I’ll be down mom.” Danny called down the stairs. Nikki ran down the stairs with a huge smile on his face.

“Might as well get up too” Lanna said as she swung her feet over the edge of her bed.

She noticed that she was still wearing her cloths from school. Lanna decided that it was better to keep them on until after she went to take a shower. Her hair was a complete mess though. Lanna brushed all the snarls and tangles out of her long black hair and tied it in a high pony tail. She checked in her dresser mirror to see how it looked. Not a hair out of place, good.

Lanna walked down the stairs slowly.

“Oh, *laugh* yes that’s true.”
“I’m glad you’re here. Would you like to join us for dinner?”

“Oh, I don’t know I don’t want to be a nuisance.”

“Of course not honey. Join us. We’re having Chinese food tonight.”

“Thank you Hanna.”

When Lanna got downstairs she went towards the voices. They were in the kitchen.

“Who’s staying over? Please tell me it’s not who I think it is!” Lanna felt that feeling in your gut that tells you something’s coming and it wasn’t good.

Lanna walked into the kitchen and saw that Hanna was at the counter unpacking all the groceries. Nikki was in the living room watching TV and eating pepperoni pizza. Danny was at sitting at the dinner table with someone

Long orange hair, a high pitched giggle, it could only be the one and only Taylor.

“Hey Lanna, come sit with us.” Danny called when he saw her coming into the kitchen.

“Ah crap. I can’t believe she’s here. I should just go back upstairs and stay in my room. But that would make it look like I’m scared of her. No way am I going to let her think that. This is going to be awkward.” Lanna thought as she sat across from Danny.

“Hi Lanna, I heard you came home early. Are you alright?” Taylor asked. She tossed her hair back with her hand and smiled.

“Uh, yeah I’m good. Thanks for asking.” Lanna smiled back but it was a weak smile. Talking to her like this made the tension increase.

“Nikki come into the kitchen honey, we’re going to prepare some dinner.” Hanna put down some glass plates in front of each chair. Nikki ran into the room and sat next to Taylor.
Nikki kept on staring at Taylor and smiling a cute and innocent smile. To Lanna, it was extremely disturbing.

“Hi Taylor, I’m Nikki. You can call me Nikk. I think you’re really pretty. I wish you lived here instead of that ugly monster.” Nikki giggled and gave Taylor a daisy that looked like it had been sat on.

“Aw, Nikk thanks so much. You’re so cute. Lanna’s not bad though. She’s one of my good friends, you should like her.” Taylor hugged Nikki and glanced at Lanna for a split second. When she let go of Nikki she looked up at Danny for approval. He just smiled back at her.

“This is making me sick. That damn little booger set me up for that. I can’t yell at him right now either, it would make me look like the bad one. Taylor is all trying to defend me. I’m her good friend? Since when you back stabbing, flat faced, DONKEY BUTT?!?” Lanna had a smile on her face. But as they say, you never know what a person is hiding behind fake smiles.

“Alright, who wants to help me make the Kung Pow Chicken?” Hanna smiled and started stirring something in a bowl with a whisk.

“I’ll help Hanna. I don’t know how to cook at all though.” Taylor got up and walked to Hanna’s side.

“Don’t worry honey I’ll teach you, it’ll be fun.” Hanna handed Taylor the bowl and whisk and gave her instructions on good whisking tips.

“Lanna sweetie, why don’t you come and join us?” Hanna looked at Lanna and then back at her work.

“No, I’m alright Hanna. I think I might not make it for dinner. The guys asked me to eat with them, is that alright with you?” Lanna did not want to stay any longer, let alone have a cooking contest with Taylor. Someone might accidentally get their hand cut off.

“Of course it’s okay with me Lanna! You and your friends should hang out together. I don’t want to keep you locked in the house all the time.”

“Thanks a lot Hanna.” Lanna got up from the table.

“Wait, do you think they’ll mind if I go along too?” Danny grabbed Lanna’s wrist and looked at her with wide eyes.

“Um…” Lanna didn’t want to say flat out no because she didn’t want to be rude in front of Hanna. She didn’t want to say yes either because she wasn’t even really going with the guys.

“Danny, you’re girlfriend has come here to visit you. I know you want to spend time with Lanna but you have a guest. Think a little boy.” Hanna gave Danny a stern look and then whacked him lightly on the head with the clean whisk.

“Okay fine. I’m sorry Taylor.” Danny mumbled as he walked to the living room and searched the channels.

“He’s so idiotic sometimes.” Hanna sighed. Taylor giggled.

Lanna was getting out of there before she choked Taylor so much that she’d giggle to death. She grabbed her sweater, put on her sneakers and went out the door.

After walking for like, two minutes, Lanna decided to go to K.C.’s house. Usually when Lanna would get mad and not talk to them, the guys would all go to K.C.’s house.

Before she even touched the door, it swung open and K.C. locked Lanna in an air tight hug.

“K.C. can you please stop doing that every time I open a freaking door?” Lanna laughed and went inside.

“Please don’t tell me you’re here to go ape s**t on my house!” K.C. laughed and grabbed Lanna’s hand. He dragged her into his room where Neer was on the computer and Nate was eating a piece of strawberry shortcake.

“Computer geek, fat boy, look who’s here!” K.C. smiled his one of a kind smile and then picked Lanna up and threw her on the couch. As soon as he did that he grabbed a pillow and put it on her legs then sat on it.

“NO!!!!! RAPE~!!!” Lanna was dying from laughter so she kicked her feet and K.C. landed on his side on the floor. Neer was laughing as he sat on K.C.’s stomach and Nate did the same.

“NO! You’re going to break my legs!” K.C. could barely say that because he was losing his breathe from laughing too much. He was red in the face when Lanna grabbed Neer and Nate off of him.

They all settled down but were still laughing a bit.

”That was a nice greeting.” Lanna walked to the computer and started typing.

“What are you doing?” Neer asked as he walked over to her side.

“Well, I know that Taylor has a website or something. She might have posted something about today.” Lanna made a disgusted face and continued typing.

“Something about today? Did she do something again?” K.C. walked over with Nate and they all crowded around the computer screen.

“Well, she came over for dinner tonight and she’s hanging out with Danny and his family. I didn’t want to stay there any longer. She actually tried to make it look like she was my friend. And well, I wanted to punch her face in so badly, I just needed to get out before I did. That’s how I ended up here. I think I’m going to crash here tonight.” Lanna explained the whole day after the classroom incident. Of course, she left out the part about Danny playing with her hair and kissing her head. She didn’t even feel right repeating it. Besides, she couldn’t tell the guys about Danny. They’d just go absolutely crazy. She didn’t need anymore drama.

“Jeez, she’s smarter than we expected.” Neer put on his “thinking face” it’s a certain face he makes when he’s thinking deeply about something. It’s quite funny looking.

“We totally underestimated her. We have to be extra careful now.” Nate said as he lay on the bed.

“Nah, I think this wasn’t her plan. It was the head b*****s.” Lanna smiled and then got up from the computer.

“Why would you think that?” K.C. asked as he sat down at the computer desk.

“Read what’s in front of you, smart one.” Lanna sat on the couch again.

Taylor had posted a section about Lanna.

“Teen Girl Forcing Herself On Another Girl’s Boyfriend” was the headline.

“That dumb b***h! What the hell is her problem? I’m going to go over to her house and rip the weave right out of her head!” K.C. almost punched his computer when he stood up after just reading for two seconds.

“Calm down. She’s not even at home. And besides, I have an idea.” Lanna closed her eyes and smiled.

Two Hours Later…
“Wake up you lazy butt.” Lanna heard Neer’s voice and slowly opened her eyes.

“It’s been two hours. You fell asleep after dinner. Danny came here to get you.” When Lanna heard that she jumped up from the couch and ran out the door.

“Bye guys! See you tomorrow!” Lanna grabbed her stuff and walked out of the door.

When she got out she saw that Danny was standing with his hands in his pockets and a lollipop in his mouth.

“Hey, I’m here to escort you home my lady.” Danny smiled and bowed. Lanna laughed and walked next to him.

“Thank you kind sir, but you don’t happen to have another lollipop for me do you?” Lanna smiled and looked at him.

“As a matter of fact I do my lady, a special one just for you.” Danny reached into his pocket and pulled one out.

“I feel so special.” Lanna took it and put it in her mouth.

“Well you should, because you are.” Danny grabbed her hand and held it.

Lanna snatched her hand away.

“Flattery will get you no where.” Lanna mumbled. He caught her off guard. Worse, she let him catch her off guard.

“I beg to differ. Anyways, I’m sorry about what happened at dinner.” Danny dropped his voice to a whisper.

“Nothing happened. Your girlfriend came over for dinner. That’s it. I’m sorry I had plans and couldn’t be there to bask in your shinning love.” Lanna was trying to get him angry. If he was angry at her he wouldn’t talk to her. Then, she wouldn’t have to deal with him and all the confusion that seemed to come with him.

“Calm down girl. We’re home so keep it cool. Hanna got kind of worried when you left. She wondered if you were uncomfortable in the house with me again.” Danny straightened up and walked up to the steps. He opened the door for Lanna and she went in first.

“I only have five more days here anyways. A week and I can decide to stay or not stay right?” Lanna whispered as she went upstairs to her room.

“Damn it, she remembered.” Danny sighed and went up to his room.

That night, both of them lay awake in their beds, wondering how everything was going to play out over the course of time.

The Next Morning
“Wake up Lanna. Come on wake up I said!”

Lanna’s eyes busted open and she sat up immediately.
“Ouch! What the hell?” Danny rubbed his forehead.

“Wha-?” Lanna was in a complete daze. Then she realized that when she sat up she bumped her forehead with Danny’s. Her forehead didn’t hurt. That only proved that Lanna was a hard head.

“Oh, I’m sorry Danny. What did you say?” Lanna looked at her clock. “HOLY CRAP!” Lanna jumped out of bed and ran to her closet.

“Like I said, we’re going to be late.” Danny chuckled at Lanna. She was rushing around like a maniac.

Lanna started lifting her shirt over herself when she suddenly remembered that Danny was on her bed watching her. She stopped mid stream and stared at him.

“Go on baby. I could use a good show in the morning.” Danny smiled a big bright smile.

“20 dollars honey.” Lanna smiled, she of course, was only joking. But of course, Danny reached into his pocket and found a 20 dollar bill. He threw it at her and it landed at her feet. Lanna glared back at him. She picked up the money and held it.

“Thanks for your contribution. Now get the hell out of my room before I shove your contribution down your throat.” Lanna still had a smile on her face as she went to the door and opened it for him.

“Alright fine, but you know, you’ll be undressing for me willingly sooner or later. Just watch!” Danny ran out the door before Lanna could catch him and strangle him. She slammed the door and locked it. She finished dressing and doing her hair and went down stairs.

Danny was waiting at the table with a strawberry in his mouth.

“Good morning sunshine!” Danny laughed and threw an apple at Lanna and they both went out the door.

“Only four more days baby boy.” Lanna laughed and took a bite of her apple.

“Let it go! Come on!!!! Just admit you want to stay already! PLEASE! Don’t make me go dino on you!” Danny grabbed Lanna by the waist and swung her around.

“Let go of me you freak! What the hell is wrong with you? RETARD!” Lanna screamed at Danny and started punching his chest.

Danny laughed and put her down again.

“I want you to stay. I know you want to stay. Just say it already and we won’t have any problems. Taylor would probably back off too!” Danny linked his arm with Lanna’s but she shoved him away.

“Probably is not what I’m looking for. The only way that Taylor will stop is when someone shows her she needs to back the f**k off.” Lanna scrunched her face up and walked up the stairs to the school. “Remember, you don’t know me, I don’t know you.” Lanna walked in the school.

“What?!? Everyone already knows about us. It doesn’t matter baby! That’s not fair!” Danny whined as he entered the school and followed behind Lanna.

“Like I said, I don’t know you so leave me alone!” Lanna stomped off into the classroom and slammed the door in Danny’s face.

“Thank you for joining us Lanna though, I’d appreciate if you wouldn’t slam my doors in other peoples’ faces. Please take your seat.” Mrs. Kayen said as she gestured towards Lanna’s seat.

“Sorry about that Mrs. Kayen.” Lanna sat down and K.C. tapped her on the shoulder.

“Did you sock Danny in the face when you left? Please tell me you did. That would make my day.” K.C. smirked and turned around to look at Danny. Luckily, Danny was too busy flirting with other girls to notice.

“Well, I didn’t. I wanted to, but I didn’t. I’m trying to keep it civil between me and him. Sorry for your loss.” Lanna smiled to herself and then turned her head a bit to look at Danny. He was still laughing and smiling with the girls but Lanna saw that he was looking at her out of the corner of his eye. When Lanna saw that she quickly looked away.

“Alright everyone get to your classes. Lanna, Danny, I need to have a word with you both.”

Everyone got up and left for classes when the bell rang but Danny and Lanna walked slowly up to Mrs. Kayen’s desk.

“Is there something you need Mrs. Kayen?” Lanna wanted to hurry and get out of homeroom. She was in no mood to be around Danny for more than she has to be.

“Actually, yes I do. There’s a new student starting here today. He and his family just moved here from California. I want both of you to show him around today. I’ll write up passes for both of you for the rest of the day. He’s waiting in the office. Please be nice to him.” Mrs. Kayen smiled and gave both of them passes.

“We’ll take good care of the new kid Mrs. Kayen.” Danny flashed a big smile and linked arms with Lanna as they walked out the door.

As soon as they were out of Mrs.Kayen’s site, Lanna jerked her arm away from Danny and quickly walked to the office.

“Yes the two that will be escorting you are very kind. Speaking of which, they’re here now.” The principal got up from his chair and opened the door for Lanna and Danny. The boy sitting in the other chair got up and walked towards the door.

The boy had dark red hair that almost looked blood red. He was a normal height. He didn’t tower over people and he wasn’t a short and stubby thing. He was lean but you could see some muscle in his arms. He wore glasses that framed his eyes nicely. His face was expressionless but it didn’t look mean. He was dressed in jeans that weren’t too loose and weren’t ball crushing tight. A green short sleeved t-shirt made a good contrast with his hair. His skin wasn’t dark like you’d expect someone from California would be but it wasn’t white. He was actually pretty good looking.

“Lanna, Danny, this is Damian Zetsuma. I’m sire Mrs. Kayen has already told you a little about him. So, I’d appreciate it if you’d show him around the school now. Thank you very much.” The principal led the three out and closed the door.

“Hi Damian, I’m Danny. This is my fiancé Lanna.” Danny put his arm around Lanna’s shoulders and pulled her closer to him.

Lanna quickly shoved Danny away and firmly corrected him.

“First things first, hi my name is Lanna and no I an NOT That idiot’s fiancé. He’s just some random idiot that come unknown force had sent to destroy my life.” Lanna smiled and laughed. “As you can already see, there are crazy people in this school. I’m included of course. Anyways, let’s start the grand tour of the information confinement.” Lanna started walked first while Danny stayed behind with Damian.

“She’s just embarrassed. She’s mine so don’t try and make a move new kid.” Danny laughed and punched Damian playfully in the arm.

“Well, I’ll take your word for it uh, Danny. She is quite lovely though. She seems like a real catch. Take care of her, or else someone like me might snatch her when you’re not looking.” Damian smiled and walked faster to catch up to Lanna.

“Wow, looks can really be deceiving.” Danny laughed to himself and ran to catch up to Lanna.

A new friend for Lanna and a possible new love rival for Danny.

10 minutes later
“So, here’s our last stop. It’s the cafeteria. I advise you not to get anything that has the word “special” involved with it.” Lanna walked towards Damian and grabbed his hand. “I want to show you to my brothers. I think you’ll like them.” Lanna smiled at him and led the way, while holding his hand.

Danny was grumbling and glaring behind them. When Lanna was busy telling Damian about how idiotic K.C. was, Danny swore that he saw Damian glance at him and smirk. Danny wanted to run up to him and punch him in the face right then. But, luckily for him and Damian, he had self control. For now.

“Danny! Danny!” Danny realized he wasn’t paying attention to where he was walking. He had bumped into Taylor. Danny looked around for Lanna and Damian. They were no where in sight.

“Danny, you almost walked into the girls’ bathroom. Don’t be so perverted.” Taylor giggled and stared at Danny. “Are you looking for someone?”

“Uh…no I’m not. It’s just, I was showing a transfer student around and I kind of dosed off, do you know where they went?” Danny was walking away from Taylor as he asked her the question.

“Danny if you’re going to ask me a question, shouldn’t you stick around for the answer?” Taylor grabbed Danny’s shirt sleeve and pulled him closer to her. “Are you just going to walk away from me? I’m your girlfriend remember? I’m your girl, and I won’t have to mess with Lanna. Don’t tell me you’re trying to mess with her behind my back!” Taylor let go of Danny and stepped back. She had a horrified look on her face. The horrified look quickly turned into an evil and sly smile. “Oh please, like I’d let you mess around behind my back.” Taylor grinned wider and stepped up to Danny’s face. “You’re mine and soon, Lanna will not be living with you anymore. I hope you like the new changes I’m planning to enforce. Keep an eye out honey.” Taylor flicked Danny’s head lightly and walked away.

“Jeez, all I did was ask you if you knew where Lanna and Damian were. Crazy lady.” Danny chuckled to himself and started walking away.

5 minutes later
“Man this new kid is awesome!”

“I agree with K.C. for once.”
“I’m glad everyone accepts me here. I made some great new friends already.” Damian high fived Nate and dapped K.C.

Danny finally found Lanna and Damian. They were in the lunchroom with K.C., Neer, and Nate. It wasn’t lunch time, but that was okay with them. Lanna went to the classes and got her three “brothers”. Damian instantly hit it off with all three of them. He was smart and funny like Neer. He was random and sometimes stupid like K.C. And he was mysterious in some places like Nate. Damian didn’t talk about himself a lot but he said he was single and lived with his father and younger sister.

“Lanna, did you not notice that you left my a*s and I had no clue where you went?” Danny bursted through the doors of the cafeteria and stomped over to where Lanna and the four other boys were sitting.

“Sorry Danny I just…well I won’t lie, I really don’t care about you.” Lanna laughed and the other boys joined in.

“That’s not nice! You hurt my feelings.” Danny was pretending to be overly dramatic. He put his hands on his heart and fell to the floor like he was struck in the heart. Everyone started laughing again.

“Anyways, I think we’re done showing you around for now Damian. It’s time to go home anyway.” Lanna got up and walked out of the cafeteria. Everyone else followed along.

Damian was in a different homeroom from the others so they separated then. Homeroom went by fast and everyone rushed home.

“See you tomorrow Lanna!” K.C. ran down the street with Nate and Neer behind him.

Lanna started walking home by her self. She didn’t wait for Danny. As she was walking, Lanna got bored so she started humming a random tune. It didn’t even sound right. She decided to go to an ice cream shop.

“I’m in the mood for vanilla and… cookie dough! My mouth is watering from just thinking about it.” Lanna laughed to herself and hurried to the ice cream shop.

When Lanna got to the ice cream shop and up to the counter, she saw a tall guy who looked around 17 years old. He had the same color hair as Damian and the same color eyes.

“Excuse me, are you by any chance Damian’s older brother?” Lanna leaned against the counter as she licked her vanilla and cookie dough ice cream cone.

“Yes I am. I’m Derek. Are you Damian’s girlfriend?” Derek smiled and winked at Lanna.

Lanna laughed and said “No I’m not. I’m just a new friend. Is he here by any chance?”

“Yep he’s here. He’s trying to make some new ice cream flavors. Come on out back, I’m sure he’d want you to taste some of his inventions.” Derek let Lanna behind the counter and into a back room.

*Churn, churn, churn*

When Lanna opened the door to the back room, there was a gust of aromas that floated up to her nose.

“It smells so good in here.” Lanna walked into the room and saw that Damian was sitting at a table and churning an ice cream churner. He looked so focused that he didn’t even notice Lanna walk in the room. Derek closed the door behind her and Lanna walked to Damian.

“Hey how’s it going new kid?”

Damian jumped in his seat and set the churner on the table. He turned around quickly and stared at Lanna for a second.

“What the hell?” Damian had on a really weird look on his face. Then he flashed a big grin. “You followed me here! Stalker!” Damian chuckled and stood up. Then he walked closer to Lanna.

“I didn’t stalk you don’t worry. You never told me your brother works at this ice cream shop.”

“That’s because you didn’t ask.” Damian stepped even closer to Lanna and as he was doing that, she kept on stepping backwards to get further away from him.

“Why are you coming so close? I thought you were busy with something” Lanna stepped back too far and she ended up with her back against a cold wall.

“I was busy with something. You’re just something even more interesting to be busy with. And I have to get close, it’s the only way that I can do this.”   As Damian said that, he got closer to Lanna’s ear and started whispering those words. Then, suddenly, Lanna felt something strange on her ear. Damian was nibbling on the top of her ear. He continued for three seconds and then jumped back.

Damian and Lanna just said nothing and stared at each other for a minute. Out of no where, Damian bursted out laughing.

“Lanna, you’re so funny! You’re frozen in place! I only nibbled on your ear! *Laugh* you should have seen your face! *sigh* Oh man, that was fun.” Damian sat back down in his chair and smiled up at Lanna again. This time, the smile was friendly and his eyes looked watery from laughing so much.

“Damian…” Lanna’s face had no emotion on it.

“Lanna, take it easy. I was just fooling around. Danny wouldn’t get mad anyways, you’re not his girl right?” Damian picked up the churn again and started making some more ice cream.

“You crazy son of a b***h! What the hell’s wrong with you? You gave me a freaking heart attack! You want me to die young?” Lanna laughed and smacked Damian in the head.

They both laughed and then Damian pulled up a chair so Lanna could sit with him.

“What are you working on right now?” Lanna took the churn out of Damian’s hands and opened the cover. It was vanilla and what looked like strawberries.

“Nothing special, it’s my favorite ice cream so I wanted to make some to bring to school tomorrow. Did you see my dad at the counter?” Damian got up and opened a cabinet and got out two spoons.

“No, I didn’t see your dad. I saw your brother though. He looks like you a lot.” Damian handed Lanna a spoon and she scooped up a spoonful of the ice cream and ate it. “By the way, this is freaking delicious!” Lanna smiled and Damian smiled back at her.

“Lanna, did they guy say his name was Derek?”

“Uh, yeah, why?” Lanna looked up at Damian with a puzzled look.

Damian laughed and said; “My dad looks very young for his age. He always goes around saying he’s my older brother. He’s actually 35. He looks about 19 right? It’s a great thing my families got going for them. I’m going to be like that too.” Damian winked at Lanna and then took her hand and got her up.

“It’s already around 5:00. I think you should get going. I have to get home and do my homework too. Sorry Lanna.” Damian led her outside to the front door. Before Lanna left, Damian lifted her hand to hid lips and kissed her hand gently.

“I hope that you’ll soon be mine and not Danny’s.” When Damian kissed Lanna’s hand he murmured those words, though they were barely above a whisper so Lanna thought that she wasn’t meant to hear it.

“Um, see you tomorrow Damian.” Lanna left and walked away feeling light headed.

20 minutes later when Lanna got home

“LANNA~! Where were yoouuuuu~!” As soon as Lanna opened the door to the house, Danny came to the front door and tried to jump on her and hug here. Emphasis on the tried part. Lanna quickly dodged him and he ended up flying through the door and landed face first on the cement sidewalk. A real nice facial.

“See what happens when you try to hug me when I’m NOT sick.” Lanna quickly went inside and slammed the door shut. And of course, she locked it.

*Bang, bang, bang*

“Lanna! Open the door! It’s my house, what’s wrong with you! I was worried. You were gone for like, four hours. Where were you? Can’t I be worried for my fiancé! You weren’t out cheating on me were you? Tell me! Let me in!” Danny was going crazy and blabbing on about random stuff while he banged on the door.

“I’m sorry. I have no idea what you’re talking about Danny. Who’s this fiancé you’re talking about? It sure isn’t me. Are you talking about Taylor? Is so, then please redirect yourself to HER HOUSE!” Lanna laughed and then went upstairs into her room.

“No! I don’t even know where she lives!!!!!” Danny fell to the ground and sat on the porch. “I need to leak! COME ON!” Danny buried his face in his hands.

“You know Danny, if you need to leak, you can just go in the bushes. That’s the advantage of being a boy.” Nikki laughed at Danny as he walked up the pathway to the house. He cut through the grass and went towards a window. “Because of you, the door is locked and now I have to use my special methods. You make my life so complicated.” Nikki sighed and then opened the window and climbed inside the house.

“Nikki! Open the door for me! And I make your life complicated? You’re only 10 years old!” Danny started screaming again and then went to the window. He tried to open it but it wouldn’t budge.

“What the hell Nikki?!? I thought we were brothers! We stick together!” Danny banged on the window.

“We were brothers. Somehow when the ugly thing came here, you’ve been treating me more like a little bug. I’m sorry, now you’re the bug. You’ll have to wait until Ma comes home. MAYBE she’ll let you in then.” Nikki snickered and then closed the shade of the window.

“WHATTTT??? That’s no fair! Mom’s coming home at 9!!! I’ll freeze to death!”

“Danny, its summer, you’re not going to freeze dumb s**t.” Lanna opened her window and peeked her head out.

“Lanna! I’m sorry! Let me in! I’m hungry! Why are you guys so mean to me?” Danny whimpered like a little dog and pouted.

“We’re mean because we can be. Besides, if I let you in the house, all you’re going to do it b***h and moan and then be back to your usual self. You won’t learn anything if I do let you in. So, to teach you a lesson, I’m leaving you outside.” Lanna laughed and then went to her desk.

She rummaged around in one of her draws and found what she was looking for.

She tossed something down and it hit Danny in the head.

“What the hell?”

“If you’re hungry, you can eat it.” Lanna laughed again and then closed her window.

Danny looked at the thing that fell to his feet.

“That’s not nice Lanna!” Danny kicked it away into the bushes and then went back to sitting on the porch.

Lanna decided to throw down a mini plastic burger. Her humor is cruel but oh so funny.

About 20 minutes later, Danny got up from the porch and just walked away.

Meanwhile, Lanna and Nikki had been sitting at the window, secretly watching Danny and laughing their asses off at him. When they saw that he started walking away. Nikki was laughing so hard that he fell on the floor, holding his sides and telling Lanna that “It hurts but it’s too damn funny!”
Danny has such a loving brother and “fiancé”.

Danny had decided to go to the ice cream shop that just opened near the park. He saw it on his way home after school. The ice cream shop had two other stores on the right side of it and on the left there was one other store.

Danny walked along the sidewalk about four blocks until he saw the sign colored in fright blue with red letters printed on it that read “Koolest as Ice Cream”. He opened the door to the shop and the little silver bells that were above the door jingled lightly.

“Welcome!” Someone shouted from the counter as Danny entered. There were five tables set around the shop and there was one couple and a group of three girls that sat at two of the tables. All in all, the shop was welcoming and a nice place to relax in.

Danny approached the counter and the person at the counter turned their head to face Danny.

“What the hell? You again!?!”

“Hehehe you’re reaction was completely different from Lanna’s.” Damian grinned and grabbed a towel and started wiping the glass in his hands.

“What? Lanna was here? When? Today? After school?” Danny’s face lit up in anticipation.

“Yeah, if I could understand the words that are flowing out of your mouth, maybe I could respond to them. Can you not throw questions at me; can you not see that I’m busy?” Damian turned around and put the glass away. He went to the fridge and pulled out a Popsicle that was tie-dyed looking.

Danny stared at the Popsicle.

“Dude, that looks cool.” Danny was easily distracted by things he’s never seen before. That’s probably why he’s so attracted to Lanna. Maybe.

“Yeah it’s one of my new creations. Anyway, why are you here?” Damian lifted an eyebrow and licked the Popsicle.

“I was just coming to check this place out. I saw it while going home after school. You never told us your family owned an ice cream shop.” Danny leaned on the counter top and started opening up a menu.

“That’s because you guys never asked. Anyways, can I take your order?” Damian grinned.

“Mint chocolate chip and cookie dough with caramel syrup, thanks.” Danny started digging threw his pockets for some money.

“Alright then, coming right up. It’s on the house though. I’m sure my dad won’t mind.” Damian went into the freezer and grabbed an ice cream scoop.

“Yeah, thanks man. Hey, were you serious about Lanna?” Danny whispered the last few words.

“Hell yeah I was serious. I may look innocent on the outside, but did you know that it’s a good look for people who are hiding something?” Damian put a clear bowl with Danny’s order in front of him. “Dig in.”

“You’re really messed up kid.” Danny said as he scooped a spoonful of ice cream.
“Yes sir, and that’s the way I like it. By the way, were you serious about the fiancé thing? She’s not taken by you right? Well, even if you were, I’d be able to take her away real easy.” Damian laughed and then took off the apron he was wearing.

“Yes I was! You wouldn’t be able to steal her even if I wasn’t looking. Just know, I won’t give her up so easily.” Danny had pure determination in his eyes.

“And the same goes for me. So I guess this means we’re rivals.” Damian took off his glasses and placed them on the counter. He ruffled his hair a bit and then put them back on. “May the more desirable man win.”

“I accept your challenge.” Danny smiled a wide smile and then walked out of the ice cream shop.

“He forgot to tip me!” Damian laughed and then went into the back room.

Five minutes later, Danny got home and he tried to open the door.

“Thank gosh! It’s unlocked! Finally she forgave me. I’m going to pound on Nikki!” Danny stepped inside and closed the door. He took off his shoes and his hoodie and then went into the kitchen.

“Yeah it’s good Hanna.”

“It’s awesome!”

“Thank you very much”

“K.C. stop scarffing it down like a pig and save some for the rest of us! My gosh sometimes I think you’re an endless pit and all that food just goes to no where!”

“Oh great, the brother trio is here. Whoop-dee-doo!” Danny sat down at the table in the kitchen and saw that Hanna had come home and K.C>, Neer, and Nate were eating some home made French fries.

“Thanks for eating my food you fatties!” Danny snatched a fry out of K.C.’s hands and popped it into his mouth.

“WAH! That’s not fair! Hanna your son is being mean!” K.C. made a foul look and crossed his arms.

Hanna laughed and so did Neer and Nate.

Lanna came down the stairs and into the kitchen.

“Oh who let the mutt back in the house?” Lanna smiled and sat at the kitchen table.

“I let myself in, thank you very much, Wicked Witch of the West.” Danny laughed and everyone stared at him.

“I’m surprised Lanna didn’t sock you in the face yet man.” K.C. said in amazement.

“Same here!” Hanna laughed and set down another plate of fries.

“So are they staying over tonight?” Danny asked with a mouthful of fries.

“Nah we’re just visiting.” Neer said as he drank his Coke.

“We’re leaving now. We have somewhere to go.” Nate got up and walked to the door.

“Bye guys.” Lanna said to them as they all got up and left.

“You’re friends are so sweet Lanna.” Hanna smiled and sat down to sip her jasmine tea.

“Yeah, they’re pretty great aren’t they?” Lanna agreed.

“Yeah well, Damian is one friend who isn’t so great.” Danny muttered and he ate another fry.

“Oh please, you’re just jealous of him Danny.” Lanna said as she got up and went up stairs.

“Who’s Damian? I like his name it’s so sophisticated!” Hanna giggled.

“Ma, he’s just a new rival.” Danny replied.

“Ooo a love square! I’m getting excited just thinking about the outcome!” Hanna looked extremely hyper.

“Sometimes I really wonder how old you are.” Danny said.

“A woman never tells her age son.” Hanna smiled and went upstairs.

“When is this crap ever going to end!!!!!? Wait, love square? I thought it was only me, Damian, and Lanna…” Danny total forgot all about Taylor. “AH CRAP! What am I going to do about the b***h?” Danny scratched his head in frustration and stormed up stairs.

When Danny got up to his room he locked the door and plopped on his bed.

“Awesome day, tomorrow’s going to be a blast!” Sarcasm is beautiful.

The next morning

*SLAM!*

“CRAP! Come on! Hurry up Nikki!”

“Hey, even though I’m 10 I still need to get ready so I can look my best for my ladies!” Nikki yelled as he locked the door to the bathroom. The water started running.

“DAMN IT NIKKI! YOU HAVE NO LADIES!! I’d be surprised if you even had dogs that were attracted to you, you little snot nosed BRAT!” Danny banged on the door as he yelled. He kicked the door and then walked away. He walked to Lanna’s room and knocked on the door. Danny knocked on the door.

“Get your lazy butt up Lanna!”

“I’m up, I’m up!” Lanna swung the door open and stepped out, fully dressed and not a hair out of place. She was dressed in green jeans and a black shirt. She had three different necklaces on that were all different lengths. Her hair was down and wavy at the ends.

“Looking nice babe. I’m so glad you get dolled up for me!” Danny smiled and went in for a hug.

Lanna quickly stepped away from him and closed the door to her room. She ran downstairs and Danny followed.

She started pouring herself a glass of milk and went to the fridge to get a hot pocket pepperoni sub. She popped it in the microwave and went to the sink.

“What are you doing in the sink girl?” Danny laughed as Lanna went into one of the cabinets and pulled out her toothbrush and toothpaste.

“Shut up. The brat is occupying the bathroom, so I brush at the sink. Problems?” Lanna continued brushing when her microwave dinged.

“Wow, smart. But totally weird.” Danny laughed and took Lanna’s food out of the microwave.

“By the way Danny, only three more days until I decide to stay or not. Better make the best of it hun.” Lanna rinsed her mouth and took her food from Danny. She sat down in the living room and turned on the TV.

“Stop reminding me! Just stop! I want you to stay. Hanna wants you to stay, and I don’t know about the brat but I’ll just say he wants you to stay too!” Danny ran upstairs to see if Nikki was done being a bathroom hog.

“Oh please, like I’m going to ever stay here any longer than I have to!” Lanna switched the channels and bit into her sub. “This stuff is delicious.” Lanna said to herself.

Meanwhile, Taylor was at her GIGANTIC (emphasis on the gigantic) house.

“Genderna I want curls today.” Taylor sat in front of her huge mirror which had tons of hair products and creams and all the works on it. Genderna was ONE of Taylor’s many maids. She was Taylor’s favorite. Genderna started separating strands of Taylor’s orange hair to curl.

“So Miss Taylor, what is with you and this uh, Danny boy?” Genderna asked as she sprayed the finished curls.

“Oh well, he’s not quite my boyfriend yet. I just need to get rid of this one little bug and that’s about it. I’m sure that sister will be pleased. Anyway, Danny is the most desirable boy in the school. But I think the Damian boy will match up sooner or later. I can’t let Lanna take either of them. She doesn’t deserve anything that I can’t have. Isn’t that true Genderna?” Taylor smiled and took out some lipstick and looked at herself in the mirror.

“Of course Miss Taylor. There, you’re hair is beautiful. Off to school now.” Genderna left the room and Taylor left for school.

Now on another note…

“DAMN IT K.C.! WAKE UP YOU PIG! GET OFF OF ME!!!!”

“Nate quiet down. My parents are still sleeping. Just kick him off. Let him be late and let us leave.” Neer said as he slung his backpack over his shoulder and took one last look in the mirror, to make sure his hair was looking nice.

“Kick him off? His HUGE A*S is IMPOSSIBLE to kick off! I make break my leg trying to get him off. Get the water bucket. EXTREME ICY cold water. Don’t get it on me though!” Nate was nearly dying from the weight of K.C.

K.C didn’t look it but he was pretty heavy. That night, he was “sleep walking” and he ended up on the bed with Nate. So, that morning, Nate woke up with a whole load of K.C. on his legs.

“Here we go!” Neer splashed water that had ice cubes in it on K.C.

“FUHHHHHHHHHHHKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!” K.C woke up screaming like someone was trying to commit bloody murder. He jumped off the bed and hurried to the bathroom.

“Hurry up K.C. we’re leaving you.” Neer sighed and went into the kitchen.

Back at Danny’s/Lanna’s house…

“Off we go! Hurry before I leave you Danny!” Lanna went out the door and started walking down the sidewalk.

“Wait! Don’t leave me!” Danny hurried after Lanna and closed the door behind him.

“Stop following her around like a helpless mutt! You’re embarrassing me.” Nikki dashed by them and ran down the street.

“SHUT UP YOU INGORANT LITTLE MONGRAL!” Danny was about to make little brat pie out of Nikki.

“Come on Danny! Here boy, good boy, come on, let’s go!” Lanna picked up a stick and threw it at Danny.

“Oh yeah, very funny.” Danny said.

“Yes, yes it was. At least, I thought it was funny.” Lanna laughed and dashed away.

“Wait!!! WOOF WOOF I’m coming!” Danny laughed and chased after Lanna.

When Everyone Got to School

“Good morning class. Today, everyone will be going home early. All the teachers have a meeting so lucky you. Too bad for us because we have to stay overtime.” Mrs. Kayen laughed and reached under her desk.

She pulled out a bag and passed it around to everyone.

“Close your eyes and pick.” She told all the students.

Everyone picked and then she smiled.

“Enjoy. You guys have been real good lately. And everyone had been here for a week straight. I’m seriously surprised.

“These are good.” K.C. whispered to Lanna.

“Yup” She replied.

Lanna stared at the green lollipop in her hands. She opened it and popped it into her mouth.

“So, everyone can either go to the art room, gym, library, computer room, or cafeteria. There are no classes today.” Mrs. Kayen smiled and then sighed.

Everyone rushed out of homeroom when the bell rang. Lanna decided to go outside to the school yard. No one really went there and she liked it there. It was quiet.

“I’m coming where you’re going.” K.C. said as he followed behind Lanna.

“Same with us” Neer and Nate said at the same time.

“Me too!” Danny said as he ran to catch up to Lanna.

“When the hell did he become one of our group?” K.C. scowled.

“Shouldn’t you be hanging with your girlfriend? Oh look, she’s coming right now. You’d better get further away from me. She might get jealous. And don’t bring her near me. I might accidentally knock out a tooth or two.” Lanna snarled and walked faster to get away. More like, she was trying to escape.

“Okay, fine, be like that!” Danny called after Lanna as he stopped walking and waited for Taylor. The other boys quickly followed behind Lanna and they disappeared into the back yard.

“Danny baby! Let’s go somewhere quiet.” Taylor caught up to Danny and smiled as she hopped in front of him. She put her arms around his neck and kissed his cheek.

Danny was just standing there, an idle look on his face.

“Oh damn. She’s mad at me AGAIN. Damn. Why does my body feel so heavy…?” Danny was thinking idly in his mind and he felt something heavy on his body, so he decided to shake it off.

*Thump*

Danny started walking away once his body felt regular again. He was just walking, not looking where he was going or anything.

“WHAT THE HELL DANNY?!? Aren’t you going to help me up when you knocked me off of you? You could have just said “get off of me please” instead of SHAKING ME OFF! What kind of boyfriend are you? Danny!” Taylor was yelling like the little b***h she was. She was on the ground and she sat up. She then got up and dusted herself off.

Danny turned around because he heard something noisy. He was that Taylor was dirty with dirt on her face.

“What happened to you?” Danny asked. He really had no clue.

“You know what Danny? I’m starting to think that you don’t even pay attention to me. I’m amazing! How can you NOT pay attention tome? I man really! What kind of boyfriend are you?!?” Taylor dusted off her face and stomped in front of Danny.

He looked at her. He smiled, a very wicked looking smile, and said:

“I’m the kind of boyfriend, that doesn’t want to be with you anymore. And you know what honey? I don’t care about what you do to Lanna. ‘Cause you know why? Because I’ll be there to protect her and have her back from whatever tired little bitchy scheme you have up you’re little spoiled rich girl a*s! Get it in check, I’m dumping you, and if you d anything to Lanna, I will, and I swear it to everything around us, that I will make your life living hell until the day you die. I’m Lanna’s and soon she’ll be mine. So step down and go crawl under a rock where you belong.” Danny walked away, a gigantic grin on his face.

“Wha-?” Taylor couldn’t take the impact of being stepped on by her lover. Excuse me, I meant EX LOVER. She dropped to the floor on her knees and buried her face in her hands.

*Rustle*

“Wow, he’s really committed. That’s wonderful. Well uh, Miss Taylor, looks like you’ve lost. But you know I’m not ready to give up this fight yet. Looks like this is turning into a love triangle only. Finally he cut the unwanted corner out. And if you’re stupid enough to not understand, you’re the unwanted corner. Goodbye Miss Taylor.” Damian walked away towards where Danny and Taylor took off. He had been hiding behind a tree and watching everything play out. He thought it was a wonderful show. But even without one of its characters, a show must go on. So be it.

“Well since there’s no school, let’s just leave. We can go to the Broken Bridge, or let’s go to the mall. Our plans got canceled last time remember?” K.C. was acting like a hyper kid. He didn’t want to stay at school so he wanted to just skip out.

“Alright fine. Let’s go to the mall then.” Lanna got up from lying on the grass and dusted herself off.

“I’m coming too right?” Danny said as he slipped threw the trees and walked next to Lanna.

“I guess that makes me the sixth member.” Damian smiled and he walked to the other side of Lanna.

“I guess we’re making this a family outing then. Awesome, I have five children to look after.” Lanna laughed and started walking towards the front of the school.
“No Lanna! You have four children. I’m the father and you’re the mommy which means you’re my wife!!!!!” Danny walked fast to catch up to her and everyone else followed.

“You’d never be my father. You’re WAY too ugly.” K.C. snickered and ran faster to beat Danny.

“Same here man.” Nate laughed and ran past Danny.

“Sorry to say, but I’ll never call you daddy.” Neer smiled and ran ahead of Danny too.

“Well looks like it’s just you and me pops.” Damian smiled as he approached Danny.

“Ew, no son, you were definitely adopted.” Danny laughed and ran faster. “Damn, Lanna runs fast.”

“No, you’re just slow. And it’s good that I’m adopted. It won’t be weird if I go after mama then.” Damian chuckled and ran ahead of Danny.

“WHAT?!?! Get back here so I can whip your behind with my belt. I’m going to send you back to the damn orphanage!!!” Danny was left behind by everyone because, let’s face it, he’s not athletic AT ALL. It’s okay. He doesn’t have brains either so it all evens out.

Ten minutes later the whole gang arrived at the mall.

“Okay guys don’t follow me around in the mall like little lost puppies. I have places to go so don’t follow. Split up and we’ll meet in the food court in half an hour.” Lanna started walking away but she felt people behind her. She turned around quickly.

“Why Lanna?!? We came because we all wanted to shop with you!!! We definitely didn’t some for each other! Why do we have to go alone?” K.C. was having a little boy’s fit. What an idiot.

“Because I said so. Goodbye little monkies.” Lanna walked away and up the escalator.

“Aw man, this sucks.” K.C. whined and then he walked away with Neer and Nate.

“I’m going upstairs. Bye Damian. Don’t stalk my baby girl.” Danny laughed and went up the escalator.

“What a coincidence, I’m going upstairs too. And don’t worry; I’d never go after Taylor. She’s the one who’s your baby girl right?” Damian knew very well what happened between Taylor and Danny but he just said that to piss Danny off.

“No sorry you’re wrong. Lanna is my one and only. And I’m her’s. So, you’re the only corner that is unwanted. You’ll see everything will work out for the best man in the end.” Danny was trying to outsmart Damian. Too bad for him, the plan wasn’t going too good.

“Yes that means that everything will work out for me in the end. Because apparently, I’m the better man. And here comes your one and only. Enjoy.” Damian grinned and walked onto the second floor and into a pet shop.

“What the hell is he talking about?” Danny stepped off of the escalator and heard it.

“Danny! Come here now!”

“Ah fuhhhkkk…” Danny rolled his eyes and started power walking towards a video game store.

“Danny!”

He stopped in his tracks and reluctantly turned around.

“Hi, Taylor. How’s it going? Were you calling me for something?” Danny smiled an obviously fake smile and tried so hard not to run away right at that very moment.
“I have a bone to pick with you, you little rat b*****d! How dare you dump me?!? Me of all people! OH please! I was going to dump you anyways. And I’ll do what I like to Lanna. But she’s not worth my time. So there. I’m leaving for Paris tomorrow. My Mama and I have decided that in this small town we can’t blossom to out full potential. In Paris, I will surely find someone more handsome and elegant than you! Goodbye forever.” Taylor smiled and turned to walk away.

“Really? This is wonderful news. And I’m sorry I’m not worth your time. Have a nice time in Paris. Try not to b***h too much. You make be turned into escargot. I’m sure that if it happens to you, you’ll surely reach your full potential. Oh yeah, goodbye forever.” Lanna smiled with so much sincerity that it was scary. It was like a murderous yet kind smile at the same time. You wouldn’t think it was possible but Lanna pulled it off.

“Uh…” Taylor couldn’t get any words out of her mouth. She immediately turned the other way and started walking rapidly away.

Lanna bursted out laughing. “That was freaking hilarious! I love it! I wish someone would’ve caught that on tape. HAHAHAHA!” Lanna looked like she could fall on the floor laughing.

“That was really great. Paris! That’s nice and FAR FAR AWAY from here! The French can deal with her now. Hahaha.” Danny laughed.

“Luckily for you Lanna, someone was here to catch that on tape.” Damian walked near Lanna who was still giggling. He had a cell phone in his hands and showed Lanna that he had recorded everything.

“Lovely! Completely genius! Thank you Damian! You’re brilliant!” Lanna rubbed the top of Damian’s head and ruffled his hair. He put his hand around her waist and took a picture of them.

“Lanna, that should go down in history.” K.C., Neer, and Nate walked out of the store that the rest of the gang was standing in front of.

“Luckily for you guys also, I was there when Danny broke up with her. I have everything on video.” Damian smiled proudly and K.C. went over to him and punched him playfully.

“Damian you’re like our stalker friend. A very useful stalker friend.” Nate said as he took the phone from Damian and started watching the break up scene.

“Uh, you guys, have you noticed that we’re in a public place? Let’s go to Danny’s uh, Lanna’s, Danny’s, yeah, their house.” Neer looked around and saw that small groups of people were forming around them.

The others noticed and they all went downstairs and out of the mall.

Twenty minutes later, they all reached Lanna’s and Danny’s house.

“Come in. No one’s home right now. My mom’s at work and my brat is at school.” Danny opened the door for everyone and told them to take their shoes off.

“Lanna, do I get to see your room?” Damian smirked at winked at Danny when Lanna wasn’t looking.

“Calm down cowboy.” Neer said. He laughed and ran upstairs. Every9one followed behind him.

“Hey, how some everyone ends up in my room? That’s not fair!” Lanna laughed as she sat on her bed. K.C. sat at her computer and Neer pulled up a chair to sit next to him. Nate sat on Lanna’s couch and after about one minute, he fell asleep.

Danny sat at the edge of Lanna’s bed and Damian sat on the floor next to Lanna’s bed.

“This is nice but extremely weird at the same time.” Danny said. He sighed and moved closer to Lanna.

Damian quickly jumped on Lanna’s bed and grabbed one of her pillows. He smacked Danny in the head with it and Lanna laughed.

“Now who needs to clam down?” Damian snickered and Lanna sighed happily.

“I think you guys are getting along great.” Lanna smiled.

“Oh please.” The boys said in unison.

After a moment of silence, everyone laughed.

“Hey Lanna”

“Lanna baby”

Danny and Damian moved closer to Lanna.

Suddenly,

*Mwah*

Damian and Danny kissed Lanna’s cheek both on the opposite side at the same time.

“AH YOU IDIOTS I’M GOING TO TEAR YOU APART!!!!!!”

*Boom, Bang, Crash*

“SORRY LANNA! AH!” Danny yelled.

“I DIDN’T MEAN TO LANNA!” Damian screeched.

“YOU’RE GONNA BE SORRY~!”

So now I guess, the game of love goes into…overtime.

                                                             P.L.C. Thanks for reading.

                                      Epilogue: Overtime

“Jeez you didn’t have to hit me so hard!” Danny wined.

“I said I was sorry.” Damian muttered as he took the ice from Neer’s hand.

“Too damn bad!” Lanna hissed.

“That was so awesome.” K.C. snickered.

“This time, I totally agree!” Nate chuckled.

“Alright now leave!” Lanna urged. She pushed all of the boys out of her room and shut the door behind them.

“You guys should go.” Danny muttered. He walked to his room, rubbing his now red and swelling cheek.

“Bye Lanna baby!” Damian called as he walked ran/limped down the stairs.

“Go away!” Lanna screamed.

The rest of the boys left the house. Lanna and Danny were alone tonight. Nikki was over at a friend’s house for a sleep over and Hanna was staying over at the office.

Back in Lanna’s room, she was lying on her bad, her shoes still on and an ocean blue pillow over her eyes.

Her head was whirling and swirling with the words that floated relentlessly in her mind. Her feet felt like lead and her eyes were heavy. She wasn’t tired at all though. Not physically at least. She couldn’t understand what she was feeling at that very moment. Trying to understand all of it was… completely exhausting!

Lanna lifted her hand to her cheeks. Both sides grew warm as she remembered one boy’s soft but tender lips. The other was rough but filled with warmth.
She knew which belonged to Danny. She could smell his breath. It was the same as that day when he held her, while she had nothing but a towel on.

“Why!?! I’m not supposed to know! I don’t… I’m not supposed to feel like this about someone like him! Why?!” Lanna yelled to herself then quickly shut up. She knew Danny was right next door. But she just didn’t know why she felt her pulse quicken when she thought about him. The only thing stopping them from seeing each other at that very moment was the wall.

“I won’t hide! I’ll… go talk to him!” Lanna said as she swung her feet over the side of her bed. She propped herself on her feet and slowly dragged her feet to the door. “Okay. Just open the door and walk to Danny’s room. It’s that easy!” Lanna whispered to herself.

Lanna slowly turned her doorknob like it was a ticking bomb. She finally mustered up her courage and opened the door. She walked five paces to Danny’s door and turned the knob slowly.

*Creeeeaakk*

“…Danny…?” Lanna whispered as she opened the door a crack. She felt stupid for whispering like a dork.

“Lanna? Come in.” Danny’s voice was close.

“O-okay.” Lanna stuttered like a moron as she opened the door just enough so that she could slip through.

“You can close the door its okay.” Danny was on the computer at his desk. It was the same as Lanna’s but his computer was gray instead of black.

“What are you doing?” Lanna asked as she walked to where he sat.

“Just checking some stuff. Is there something you need?” Danny asked, stopping his typing and looking up at her.

“Um, yeah. I want to talk to you about something. I’m…” Lanna felt her face flush and then get hot. Her palm started getting sweaty and she was feeling dizzy.

“Okay. If you want to talk then go ahead.” Danny urged. He abruptly got up from his chair on sat on his bed. Lanna stared at him as he intently stared back.

“I don’t know what’s wrong with me! Something. I don’t know! But my face is hot and, and my head is spinning! I’m not sick I know that but something about you… it makes me feel wrong. It’s not right! I don’t know what it is. When you… kissed me today, even though it was just on the cheek, it made me feel so WEIRD!!!!” Lanna soon realized that he voice had risen and she was now screaming in his face. Her breathing was shallow and she was rambling. Could it get any worse?

“AHAHAHAHAHA~!”

“DON’T LAUGH!!!!! WHY~~~???!!!!!” Lanna screamed as she pushed Danny so hard that he fell back onto his bed. He was still snickering when she glared at him. She didn’t dare breathe, sure that she might go spastic on him.

“I’m sorry. Hah.” He breathed regularly and stopped snickering. “I’m not laughing at how you feel. I’m laughing at the fact that you don’t realize what it is.” He answered.

“Tell me!” Lanna screeched.

“Does it make you feel warm when I do this?” Danny got up and grabbed Lanna’s hand. Then he pulled her onto his lap on the bed.

“Danny!” Lanna gasped. She felt her face flaming.

“Does it make you warm?” He asked politely.

“Yes.” She whispered.

“And how do you feel when I do this?” He breathed in her ear and brushed her hair behind it. He could feel her body stiffen.

“Strange. It’s not right! It’s scary but I’m not afraid. But somehow…”

“You feel happy and warm. It makes you blush. I make you blush? I make you feel differently from other guys?” Danny asked in a low voice.

“Yes.” She answered like a child.

“Can you guess what it is?” Danny asked.

“Yes. But I don’t want to believe it.” Lanna breathed.

“Why don’t you want to believe it? There’s nothing wrong about believing it.” He sighed and then slid her off of him. She sat down beside him as he lay on his bed.

“Because. You’re a player. The ladies man. That means I’m not supposed to be with someone like you. Someone who uses people’s emotions to get close to them, it’s not right.” Lanna whispered.

“I’m not like that anymore. I’m ashamed that I was ever like that. Seeing you, now, here, with me, it’s different. I’m different. And I’ll never go back. Not as long as you re with me. As long as you love me.” He whispered as he sat up and took her face in his hands.

“I’m… in love with you?” She asked. Her eyes couldn’t leave his. She searched for the answer to her question.

There was no answer to come.

“You should know.” Danny muttered lightly.

“I love you. Danny. Danny Inori. But why?” Lanna was almost to the point of tears. She could feel that they were beginning to spill over the corner of he eyes.

“Don’t cry Lanna. Please don’t cry. It’s okay that you love me. Because I feel the same way with you. Like I’ve been trying to tell you the whole time. I’ve waited for you.” Danny laid Lanna’s head on his shoulder as she sat on his lap again. He hugged her from behind and inhaled her scent.

“Looks like you kept your promise.” Lanna muttered. She smiled and turned her head so that she could look at Danny’s face.

“Yeah. I kept my promise. I promised to make you love me.” Danny smiled.

“This sucks.” Lanna muttered the smile still on her face. “Will love just keep sucking like this?” Lanna asked. Danny chucked.

You Never Know.” He whispered.

But You Can Find Out.” Lanna sighed.
