AFRAID TO FORGET

AFRAID TO FORGET

A Poem by Ange Pange
"

This is for school. We had to find a poem or write one ourselves and I decided to write. I was reading STOP READING IF YOU HAVEN'T READ NEW MOON!!!!!! the bit where Edward leaves Bella and two of these quotes are from it I think. :]

"

AFRAID TO FORGET

So many memories,

So many dreams.

So many hopes,

All torn at the seams.

Some things can’t be explained,

But everything happens for a reason.

Life’s a war-like battle,

From season to season.

Forbidden to remember,

I need to accept.

But all the good times,

Afraid to forget.

I can relate. :)
Love the choppy phrases, it keeps the initial feeling of hesitation and it flows really well too. Fear of forgetting something good...well, without those moments, what would you be in the end?

And you are well to remember not to forget. Good times nowadays are a rare treat. You poem speaks of great truths, for sometimes it is a battle to get out of bed in the mornings. Life is very hard and disappointing at times but that is what makes us what we are today.
