Emotional disconnect

Emotional disconnect

A Poem by likhnewala
"

Relevance of emotions in this 'connected' world

"
When i lay at night
in my bed, all alone
I feel a sense of fright
and begin to moan

Why do troubling emotions
have no cure
Coz i tried all potions
but got nothing so pure

I feel lonely
and long for company
All i ask for is tranquility
in life's symphony

But why is that so tough
and difficult to find
For it makes life rough
and seems like a grind

You reach a low
where you feel hopeless
And life's boat that you row
starts becoming float-less

That one moment
or a particular one person
Is the impediment
between you and celebration

And then the sun rises
to give us a message
'Son, to receive life's prizes
you must understand its language'

Suddenly i was upbeat
and my mood changed
Back on my feet
i no longer was maimed

For it is the ability
to set and rise again
and lighten up entirety
and not just places main.
