blossom time

blossom time

A Poem by mick weller
"

...a sad time indeed

"

ah, blossom time

a sad time indeed

to form

a hasty noose

that belonged to another,

and tightly so...

I don't understand...

...yet blossom beckons

warmer days.

Sitting here

pondering the past

in this silent seething sadness

for heart's lost

many signals sent

return...

You can remember

          You will remember,

it is but strings of fate

that tug wearily now...

and yet...

there is time

still-

to heal

There's a contradiction between the sweetness of the blossoms and the reflective darkness throughout... Although the poem began with a sort of depressed feel, it ended with a spark of hope. I liked this very much. The mood of the overall poem really struck me. Great write!

I find this to be slightly haunting...blossom time brings visions of rebirth to mind, but I suppose there is no rebirth without a newfound death. Excellent write

I always find my way back to your words. Sometimes after long distances. Remarkable how the depth of your writing always strikes me differently each and every time. I should visit more often.
