nonsense tears

nonsense tears

A Poem by mick weller

What is left of real,

when reality lets you down?

Where is the sense in tears,

when you're supposed to be the clown?

Heavy duty write for such a short piece. Don't we tend to close down when we're hurt? Don't we fight the urge to cry because it's not the 'happy' us we try to show the world? There's a whole thesis to be written on what's behind your four lines here. Kudos for being able to do that. Nicely done.

I enjoyed the 'sense" of this. Admire the economy of expression. Nicely done, Mick.
