Wrecked

Wrecked

A Poem by Faith Almazan

When I get emotional
you say that I do wreck things.
But if I do not talk to you
the distance
it is threatening
us
we were
so good before.
Now it's over
and I'm sure
that we will never love again.
Your birthday was the perfect end.
You ditched me
I had planned the day
for weeks
I asked you
"Are you free?"
I'm mad
I'm sad
I'm hurt
you see?
But I cannot
tell you things.
You say I wreck it
when I cry.
My love,
my heart,
I say goodbye.
