Stanley Park

Stanley Park

A Poem by Faith Almazan

I remember how we used to be;

Playing, laughing, living we

         never used to be this way.

 Toxic to the world delayed

           reaction from my heart just made

                                you doubt me even more.

My cold demeanor stopped your warmth;

                           heartbreaking;

            I am torn.

I fear to show you I adore

  you.

Love your love,

                    But I just bore you.

It's clear that you're the enemy;

                        but I love to love those memories.
