Basement Days

Basement Days

A Poem by Faith Almazan

Make me realise I need to knock down,
my wall that's built up around me.
I'm so scared.
In love a lot now.
Don't leave.
Our bond does ground me,
it astounds me.
You surround me,
I love the sounds we
make at night.
But I can't say
right to your face
how next to you
I'm small and slight.
