Mistake

Mistake

A Poem by Faith Almazan

Sleeping with a train wreck,
He needs to get his head checked,
Trying to forget
that he had me for a sec
And I'm trying so hard to get him out of my head.
His empty words,
He never f*****g meant what he said.

Yeah it was painful,
and I'm feeling disdainful,
Like this pain is moving at a glacial pace,
it's my choosing,
it's my taste,
back to crying
in my cave
feeling empty
I behave
so strong I wear this
happy face and
push away hurt
cannot embrace
my feelings gone
our love erased.
