I Don't Need Both

I Don't Need Both

A Poem by Daniel's New Profile

Half of the world is gone

Everything is no longer whole

I am incomplete

A fact that eats at my soul

Please don't cry for me

At least I am alright

Things could be worse

It's just another obstacle to fight

Please don't blame yourself

You could never have seen this come

I'm still here with you

To prevent you from being lonesome

Please don't worry about me

Life is not over today

Let's just go back home

And get on with the rest of the day

Half the world is gone

But I need you to be as strong as can be

Because I don't need both my eyes

To see how much you love me

this was great. You did a nice job rhyming. It was sweet, but sad. Nice job.
