Broken Glass

Broken Glass

A Poem by youngfirefly

Hiding with these emotions
I think I may be made of glass
Light a match within me
and watch me crack

Yet I watch you fall apart
And I can't help but wonder
If I can ever fix your heart?
Could I ever be the rock you need?
or am I just supposed to watch you break instead?

If only I could fake a smile
And have you fooled
Then you could put yourself together
because I rather be broken glass.

This was a very sad poem! The one thing I noticed was in the line "or am I just suppose to watch you break instead? ", I think you meant "supposed"

Thank you so much for the review! I will edit that it a bit. :-)
Depressing. My fav line is "Light a match within me
and watch me crack" ...could do more with that image of glass melting and cracking
