The Parting GlassA Poem by Troy HensonIt's the company you keep that provide the most memorable times in life....what impression have you left? Togetherness
of friends in good company we sit Here
now are good times, may we always revisit Every
moment in time, good friends, hard to find
my footprint I have left, Permanent is
my impression remember me for not what I sung, Alas
with life’s decision inspired by company that we keep, Roads
are long rivers deep if not for the lonely heart I keep, Tonight
I may just weep for friends or foes may we all unite, I’ll
try this day before tonight our luck in life is what we make, New
beginnings lay bare but in sight i fall you rise hand in hand we fight, Grow
old together we shall in life’s plight
Glossed
over with emotion, on parting words hear devotion Long
lasting memories mirrored, life’s framed window pane Amassed
thoughts of a lonely life, friends do keep me sane Sip
from life’s cup in the now; let’s savor life’s ups and downs Sincerity
loves company, our good faith in friends we beckon © 2014 Troy HensonAuthor's NoteFeatured Review
