The forgotten rose.

The forgotten rose.

A Poem by LVW

The forgotten rose has fallen
many nights it has waited
to be seen and heard by those it loves
now it has wilted
as its pedals has fallen to the ground
love and compassion can no longer carry it
as it breathes its final breath
darkness lays in waiting
goodbye world I once loved
you have slipped through my fingers
dreams has slipped with you
and now lie asleep next to you
not even a Wisper is heard
as the tone ways to heavy to lift
goodbye tenderness that was but a dream short lived
goodbye hope who once sustained
as weary tears drip drip drip
the coldness surrounds your tender kiss
your arms hold no compassion
no comfort in your weary words
for speak them if you must
but my ears grow tired of the sound of lips
for no comfort you bring
as touch grows cold and the mind grows weak
what lie must comfort bring
what defense will satisfy
as so many lies was pierced
and left expose the one who lingers there
be gone from me
so that I may find peace
for my bones is tired
as I was deceived
