the monster must die.

the monster must die.

A Poem by LVW
"

you are the author of your own suffering. you control the narrative of your own life. how many monster did you create just to say that a victim was made?

"
So much hurt in the world today
cant look at it but cant look away
so many monsters outside of the door
spilling blood on my bedroom floor
but I dream a different dream
killing the monster inside of me
the world told me how to survive
kicking and screaming telling every lie
there is a monster consuming me
turns out the monster was always me

every day we all go to war
ready to fight ready to roar
but somewhere in the silence there is a noise
an innocent cry trying to lift its voice
push it down we don't want to seam weak
but maybe there is power in just being me
its time to stand up and face the truth
I can only be hurt by what I do

there is no use now to pretend
that the problem doesn't begin and end
every time the battle was brought
I enrolled and I fought
my bones grow weary of battle scars
all to say I wasn't wrong
but every lie was bought with blood
and with pain was it sold
every time the flag was waved
the trumpets did I blow
and on and on we did go

but look at you
look at me
how far shall we go?
