Leapoems

A Poem by libramoon
"

commemorating Leap Day

"
unloved poem

Life, such a joker
Listening to the words rip me insane:
"I don't love you.  I never did.
When we touched, when we kissed
it was just skin on skin,
the power and glory of biology."
And though I know I'm not the only
lonely one,
it's not true that you can't miss what
you never had.
Smoggy, rumbling traffic.
Walking against the gray backdrop
in the rain.
A garden of red, red roses
grabs blurry, raw eyes.
Beauty loves forever.

Piscean Poem

Sugary roofs
Bare trees
White sky
Rickety truths
with these I try
to create a reality
a place to live
until I die
Seasons rain or snow and bluster
Reasons ebb and flow, or cluster
Me, I rarely know what must or
must not be done.
By firelight or blazing sun
still darkness remains my
one true friend.
Comforting because
they aren't true,
If life could be a dream
and never end
If I could be the me
that I pretend
If reality and dream could
each transcend,
take on each other's
point of view
Sugary roofs, grains of truth
Sweet treats, bare trees
Snow-white skies
Seen through cloud-enhanced eyes
Life's but a dream in disguise

haikoan

Impermanent soul
moving through the changes
of the universe
