The Blue Note

The Blue Note

A Poem by Libby McKeown
"

For my only love

"

I love

making lists

and

writing

vertically

and your contention

that people

are basically good

and that

SOMETHING

should be done

but you're not sure

what.

You're a calm note

in a musically mad world.

Wonderfully done! Short, sharp poetry that makes me feel something is the stuff I love. You did it here. The last two lines just make sense of it all. Angi~

I love the last two lines, the juxtaposition is great and really makes them stand out. I like the short nature of your poetry, because you are able to pack a substantial message in a small amount of words that fit perfectly together. Well done :)

But hay what do I know?
Well done.

The writer is so obviously in love, if not with a young man then with life, but I'd bet she's in love with both. Delightful writing. Thanks. I loved this.

A kind and hopeful poem. I like the flow and the story in your words. The ending made the poem complete. Thank you for the amazing poem.
