A Dinner of Herbs

A Dinner of Herbs

A Poem by Libby McKeown

Love,

you s**t!

Every day

I fight

against your

gentle floods

to preserve

my angry spark.

Can't that be enough?

Be a stranger to me!

Go elsewhere

with your unsteady hand

and dinner of herbs.

I like the imagery.
this would sound awesome sung accompanied by lute or balalaika (sp?)

It reminds me of "Green Sleeves"

I don't entirely get this one.
Maybe that's due to my own stupidity, though.
It has a reasonable flow, though.
