A Chapter by Alejandro Libaque

A friend of a friend is a half-project type of guy. You know, those who have thousands of projects, and when they decide to start them, get to finish just a third of them... barely. He wonders and tries to find an answer, it's nothing to take pride in -- to adventure in so many journeys and not be able to finish them all or accomplish what was planned.

He reads journals on personality, takes tests from as many magazines as possible, and visits horoscope websites. Too creative. Too creative? Is that the best the world can come up with? Turns out he gets distracted too easily, not because of any attention deficit disorder or hyperactivity problems, but because he finds everything too interesting to leave them aside.

Curious George, too bad George isn't his name, and it if were, it'd be just a coincidence that both George and Gemini start with a G. Such a versatile kid, he believes in priorities but knows not how to take care of them. Not your average nerd. Actually, not a nerd at all. Smart? Maybe, but not into academics. He chooses creative writing over school essays, and playing his guitar over reading text books, so what can he do to be like others? Stay the same! Like that Rogers ad on the tv that says that all we have in common is how different we are. Why want to be different? Be unhappy for not finishing those projects, but don't trip on trying to become something else to fulfill others' expectations.

The friend of my friend plans on leaving a mark. He finds an idea and starts working on it, and half-way through he finds a cooler way of achieving what he first planned. And it goes on and on, and he finishes no project at all, but he'll make it, no? He'll make it.

"Making it to the end of the day is the hardest project is could ever finish, and I finish it every day".

In a mirror you see the reflection of your body, but the reflection of your life is only shown in what comes out of your lips, if you recite, and your hands, if you write. To write is to open a door o.. more..
