Black strawberries

Black strawberries

A Poem by Lianne
"

I will go insane dealing with two-faced people

"
say 'aah'
rotten
mouldy
black
strawberries
feed me
but don't me with black strawberries
your chocolate coated body of deceiving motives
plastic for organs
paint for beauty
believable only to the eyes of the distant
take a step closer
have a stroll in this field of black strawberries
take a small bite
sink your teeth in
flavours like needles
be careful with your tongue
have a stroll in this field of black strawberries
linger around
take your time
take a whiff
and your senses will tingle
but
they don't tingle in desperation for an even closer look
they don't tingle for intimacy
but the exact opposite
they tingle to warn you
pick up your pace
this field of black strawberries is like a maze
I'd rather be fed with dust
than to be fed with black strawberries

I like this a lot, but a critique if I may. Because the title is so iconic and strong, I suggest not using it in the poem but instead replace it with families of the rotting fruit or maybe descriptive comparisons. There is a lot of room for growth there I think. Solid poem, thanks for sharing!
