Perfect for a Moment

Perfect for a Moment

A Poem by liambeggs

Perfect for a Moment

It’s closing in but I don’t mind

I just fell back and felt the time.

On a cloud that felt so right

looking up to what is my sky.

The right closes in

followed by the left

as I just smile and let it slide.

On a level

but not to everyone else

as half is relaxed

the other is feeling the speed of life.

As I am relaxed and chilled I am

Just laying here I could be mistaken for lazy

But lazy this time I am not.

Although don’t get me wrong

there has been many times where I have been

just not this time

all I am doing is giving into time.

Watching it pass by more and more

like a plane getting ready to hit the ground

the escape will soon be over.

Like the wheels hitting the tar

the reality of reality kicks in.

Still in a holiday mind

also known as denial.

I try to keep a hold of what I can

before it is referred to as a distant memory.

Like the photos took and shown days later

all it will end up as will be a picture in my mind

that sometimes I will remember

of what I seen as a good time.
