Courage

Courage

A Poem by Patricia
"

a poem from the past...

"

Courage

As the sun sets low behind the dunes
and shades the clouds a purple hue
salty winds whip through the sky
showering the stranger with fallen leaves

He stops and stares into the setting sun
as tiny waves wash clean his worn out shoes
long has he been traveling here
to seek the wisdom of all wise men,
to wield the power of all great kings,
to know what is known by all stars bright

And as he stares into that fading light
he comes to know and to comprehend
that nothing is quite as great
than what he bears inside

Excellent write! I could picture myself standing on the shore pondering these thoughts as I read this. I read this a second time and became even more engrossed. I speculate that this one those poems that gets deeper within the reader with each read. Keep up the great work!! : )
