An Ode to Name Unspoken

who are we; the struggle to define
what is human, what makes up the spark divine?
eyes, hair, heart, soul, mind,
wit, compassion, justice blind?
yet though of these a man might be comprised
are they those parts that should be prized?
if truth be beauty, and therefore beauty, truth
i may then surmise it be for me uncouth
to assume that either might my way come,
then, I only hope that I discover wherefore are they from.
            And then, what is love?
That is called a many splendor thing
Mayhap it be that spark yet undefined
Is this what made man from the darkness ring?
and indeed all form of meter and rhyme
seem dark and lost confined within the boundless Time
Yet, It softly stands alone, love’s jauntily erring note

Author's Note

Patricia
The capitilization is done on purpose. Capitlization should indicate a shift of some sort or perhaps highlight important lines. Why do you think it was done that way?
