Hitching a Ride to CaliforniaA Poem by Leslie MarieWishful thinking at work. ;)Dry cleaning is too damn expensive. You're a little bit too apprehensive. This coffee kind of tastes like dirt. But it keeps me awake while I say, "Come again. Have a nice day." And while I contemplate why I'm still here. I don't really like turtle neck sweaters. Can't decide if I like the weather. Of course, I can't decide on anything. They say that vans are for mothers. Apparently, Ohio is for lovers. But we'll just hitch a ride to California. We'll find a place that sells good tea. Wonder at the age of the trees. Forget about kind strangers and their problems. We'll love it so much we'll think about staying. Then we'll realize it goes without saying. We know exactly where we're needed. But next time it's all too much. And we feel a little out of touch. I think I'll know just what we'll do. They say that vans are for mothers. Apparently, Ohio is for lovers. So we'll just hitch a ride to California.
