Peace of Mind

When peace of mind there would not be,

I relied on you in hopes you’d see

How hard it is to dry each tear,

To escape the darkness, pain, and fear.

Engulfed in opinions when all I want

Is to be left alone with my own thought.

How simple I can contradict with a lie

Th’ obvious hope that I wish I could die.
