MY love is goneA Poem by Anon1My first attempt at a poem, hopefully someone likes itAs he glared at the picture with
desperation in his eyes, She could not hear his woeful cries. Never changing, her picture still
smiles Even after years of time's trials. He should not weep, But he could not
sleep, For when he fell in love he took a
mighty leap. A fool chasing happiness through the
dark, Eyes lit by that special spark. Which soon faded as joy can never
last, Briefly my smile was genuine, not
just a mask Your love is not something I regret, Yet I use this bottle to try and
forget. For you're enjoying your eternal
shine ,among the stars in the skies, But I'm here, just fine, you'd know I
was telling lies
You left me here feeling all
alone, Still calling to hear voice before
the tone. If only I could take back time and
cut you loose, And beg you baby, stay away from that
forlorn noose © 2016 Anon1Author's Note
