Removing DramaA Poem by Lori GraceA poem in the makingMy morning not going well stresses on the take Children pressing harder boundaries at stake When will the wheel stop spinning on the door A nod of the head and bent knees on the floor The mood of the day grows black, novelize foreworn Our beloved dog Dylan loses his spots Dalmatian torn But the hour grows long, more worries I tend to store Watching the clock tick tock a glass of wine to pour Remembering a still small voice rushes in with the wind And I take a deep sigh pressure cooker to rescind My children smile sweetly removing drama for the day And I sit free of worry this minute for tomorrow is at bay. © 2013 Lori Grace |
