Fool's GoldA Poem by lfrii76Just when one thinks they have a person with a heart of gold; it is usually full of lead.
Window shopping for love until cupid shot me in the arm
A preconceived breath of fresh air; infatuated by its charm Floored by its presence; wanted to investigate Too nervous in approach and too scared to initiate Months after chasing and finally pursuing the ghost I became the parasite and my new found friend; the host Spell casted begins to wear off with misery rearing its ugly head striving my head above water; should I continue to tolerate or be dead? dreams shattered for tempting fate dwelling on the wouldas, shouldas, and couldas but it was too late Invested all my eggs into one basket but will only receive flowers when I am in the casket Glanced up into the sky wondering why, why, why Not being to myself by harboring an eternal lie © 2011 lfrii76Author's Note
