Label LamentationsA Poem by Scarecrow NovemberSouthern pride, born and raised, mobile abode, accused illiterate hick. Profoundly discouraged, surprisingly intellectual tête-à-têtes. If you want to know me, search deeper than location. Label maker social call, irritating proclamations. Gloomy garb, faultfinding attire, depression sequence countdown, gothic empire. Comfort regulations, overthrown in social class. Arbitrating guises, spreading the ignorance rash. If you want to know me, search deeper than wardrobe. Label maker social hog, insensitivity grows. Goodie cherub, cowardice cat, trouble making naivety. Labeled leper by the reigning breed. Perfect prude, party kill. If you want to know me, search deeper than my decree. Label maker social fools, insecurity pleas. Timid reject, quietly queer, uncomfortable quarantine attendance. Anti-social weirdo, loner life. Imaginary bonds, inaccurate lies. If you want to know me, search deeper than relationship lust. Label maker social mutants, absent-minded trust. I’m not who I am based on where I’m from. I’m not who I am based on what I wear. I’m not who I am based on how I act. I’m not who I am based on demons past. I am what I am because I see beyond a mask. I am what I am because I braved a battle, and I saved my broken soul. Lost, bare, naïve, forgotten. Savior reign, kingdom nirvana. I am my own hero. That’s what I am. © 2011 Scarecrow NovemberAuthor's Note
