This really makes us appreciate God, the one we can take for granted so often. You shocked me and you found me hopeful and then relieved! Your form and colors are perfect. Great write!
Oh yeah, I like this, and having been there as well, understand the de-constructing and re-inventing of God again and again. lol. It's brief, concise and yet what is written says so much.
Maybe god was lonely and so invented us to keep him company. Wouldn't we do that if we were god-like creatures on our own in some remote universe? Actually I'd create a more reverential creature than us as we now are. Or maybe if we try and be mates with god we will discover a whole new side to him or her. And yes I'm here and you're there. But I'm there to your here. Great thought producing poem.
LOL! This is very interesting because many folks say that God and the Bible were invented by man to control the people...while I won't argue that theory...I still much rather believe in Him...it does take the fear of death away, ya know? Call me kooky, but I enjoyed this thought very much :)
I like this because it made me think about what you were saying. Was god invented by man in the first place to fill a void - I think so anyway. Without god in my life, well, it would be exactly the same. But then i have had positive influences in my life by people who do you have faith in god, so does that mean god has touched me? Or just their goodness? Hmm. Very thought provoking, as the question of religion probably always will be. Well written. NH
this is in a way human history. we lost and found god...we build and rebuild god..only to lose his concept in meaningless and lustful worships ...and again we invent them in us.a writing that should provide us something to ponder over.
An interesting write. I thought they did find out God existed or something and there was this whole thing abou Easter being cancelled. Shows how much i pay attention....anyways, great write!
I'm 25, and I'm from Glasgow in Scotland. I've lived in a few other places, briefly in both Australia and England but Glasgow is definitely home for me. I love writing and have doing it as long as I.. more..
