These Silver Bars

These Silver Bars

A Poem by Lexi Richard

I have found
that I am stuck
within these silver bars
Although they're strong
and keep me safe
my soul is being starved

Everything
is like a blur -
a sorry water paint
I try to focus
and keep my mind
within my metal gates

Oh, I wish
to feel the air
on my every molecule
to soak it in
and release
with all my thoughts, so cruel

Though I squirm,
I stay put -
anchored to my thoughts
and with no key
there's no escape
for my brain is locked

Yes Lexi very good. Bates solid waste of metal should be made as a stool for !me to sit upon and enjoy the everlasting joy of life

Lexi you wrote it very nicely. Sometimes we really becomes slave of our own thoughts and mind. This is the most difficult phase of life as to get over our mind....
