90 Knives

90 Knives

A Poem by Lexi Richard

When it happens
I'm gone - I'm out of my head
I suffocate within
a sea of oxygen
And I don't miss who I've been
I don't miss what I've done
I wish I hadn't damaged
the one I should've most loved
I have not much to say
and too much to hide
I am simply waiting
for the turn of the tide
And with 90 knives in my back
I still smile with care
but I wish that I knew
why I had put them there

Really beautiful poem.
"I suffocate within
a sea of oxygen
And I don't miss who I've been"
These lines have to be my favorite.
Can't wait to read more from you! :) x.

I like the poem, I know that it took talent to write the poem. I think I understand the concept of the poem. I do not understand the 90 knives?

It does indeed. Ninety is such a incredibly large number of betrayals!
This is heavy...

I wonder if most people in this scenario feel this way in the midst

Good wordplay
It really brings the poem to life
