![]() 11/11/11A Poem by Lexi Richard
I try not to remember
that one inky year that felt devoid of the sun and was full of bitter tears I was surrounded by pleas unspoken but heard my lungs could've collapsed from the weight of each word I can't help but think was I to blame? she tells me "no, it's a disease of the brain" But why are we so fooled? thinking we are full of might we believe we're supreme even when our brains begin to fight And that year's when I learned - humans are nothing more than skin, blood and bones who have no choice in this world -l.r.
