By the Sea

By the sea, I find myself

within the glistening tides

The smell of salt - it makes my lungs

bloom like the spring time

My ears will pound with every wave

I'll feel the power in my hands

I'll watch the sun reflect like stars

as water rolls to the sand

By the shore there are no walls

no place where I can sleep

but with the shells, the rocks, and gulls 

I find my home by the sea

'By the sea, I find myself', I totally see where you're coming from! you get to learn who you are and find your true self when in a comfortable environment, for you the sea. You also persuade me that the sea is where I will find peace and beauty, even reading the first stanza makes me crave it! Great job :)

I like the sense of life you bring with this. I question the second stanza - the future tense with "will" and "I'll" - without will - the stanza becomes more "present" in tense and feels stronger to me for it. A simple " I " vs I'll continues the "present". Just a thought.
