![]() Good MourningA Poem by Lexi Richard
So many fear what comes after life
When we should not fret at all Just let time take us away Because you cannot stop the fall We never see leaves cling to their stem In hopes of staying green They peacefully change to orange and brown Then drift to the unforeseen A butterfly never dies in vain Never battles what's meant to be It never struggles against its fate in hopes of Sustaining its heartbeat You never see a bouquet fight To keep its petals bloomed The grass clippings know death's not to fear, It's not the ultimate doom
So why do humans stay alive As death holds out his hand? It seems we're the only ones in nature Who do not understand -l.r.
