DOGS

DOGS

A Poem by Alexis Rose

Dogs never worry, their minds are simple

But there are some who have no minds

They once were there,

Now melted away by the sick, boiling, masochistic knowledge of worldly things

Things that flow like acid in through their ears, and out their mouths,

Eating away at the goodness of a virgin imagination

They have been stolen from their heads

Stolen by the thieves of big business, cracking open their innocent skulls like walnuts, to feed on the center and toss away the shell

Dog eats dog
