What They Can't Take Away

I'm in High School, so this was written for all the teens who were bullied or ever treated like they're nothing.

I've got a vision for the future.
I've got a plan for how it will all turn out.
I know that someday what happened today won't matter
and maybe that day ain't gonna come tomorrow
and maybe it's gonna take a little waiting
a little hurting
but I'm ready for that cuz I know
they can take away my sunny day, my happy hour,
but they can never take away my future
they can bring me down a notch with their cold hearts
but I've got something they can never take away
