A Poem by Alexis

I don't want to live anymore,
she screamed as tears fell from her eye lids.

Poor little girl,
only 15 and almost already dead.

Not a single soul would miss her,
not a single person would visit her in her bed.

How sad it was,
to see her all alone,
when she needed someone the most.

But no one was there,
she was all on her own.

Her attempt to go away,
had failed.
She had just made things worse.

I don't want to live anymore,
she screamed as blood fell from her wrists.
She would never be here,
anymore.

yeow! what heart breaking despair you capture .. and illuminate a horrible, tragic loss of life and promise ..i can not imagine how this scenario would go down for me .. a dad ..with children and g-babies .. your poem turns me to my only place to go with such dilemmas .. on my knees in prayer .. :) love and peace!

The poem took the reader to a bad place. When death is sweeter than life. A bad place to be.
"But no one was there,
she was all on her own"
I lost two brothers to suicide. I learn. We must pay attention to family and friend. Be the kind voice. Not the negative voice. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
