Looking, or Seeing

Looking, or Seeing

A Poem by Alexis

She turned to her cold heart,
that the one person she actually cared for
had broken it -
into what might be a million pieces.

She hurt,
and she cried,
a few screams, too.

She was so young,
no one understood what she was going through.
No one wanted to.

She was so sweet,
looked after everyone,
put others before herself,
until him.
He made her see what people really did to her.
He made her see.

She realized she didn't need a heart
to live,
she didn't need a heart
to survive.

Alexis
I got the title idea from our lesson in history class, learning about WW2. Sorry if it is a bunch of just thrown together small ideas, well, because, to me it looks well as it is was mood I am in. Thank you for reading :)
