Deep

Deep

A Poem by Alexis

This pain is just a black whole,
Sucking up the rest of her happiness
And leaving her with none.

But what could she do?
For no one could see,
What horrible pain
Hid beneath her sparking eyes.

Everyday,
She lived in fear
Of what her mind,
Was going to do next.

And everyone who said they cared.
They were just there
To make themselves feel better.

Oh, how could she trust anyone,
When the trust she had
Was always broken.

The moment when things,
Felt like they were getting better
They only seemed to get worse.

A life full of so many dreams,
Had been washed away
By a monster so terrifying,
Some know of it as their mind.

Why would,
Such a sweet and beautiful girl
Like herself,
Want to hurt her outside,
Just to help the inside?

Only she knew the answer to that.
Just as only she knew how she felt,
Or even when to side with her demons.
