Barriers Built HighA Poem by AlexisA mind has to learn to be strong
My walls came down
when you said you needed time. I did not know what to think, for I did not know what to do. Many, now, need their time from me, just to judge me, from who I am. I mean no harm to others. But when I do, guilt rises over me, and my wall breaks down. My wall was once strong, for many have pushed upon it. It took longer to rebuild than to damage, so now my wall is gone. The place where my wall once stood, now leaves a hole in me. I know of only one way to fix it, but all would not care, all would not care either way. I knew how to do it, and I planned it well. The hole finally fixed itself, as I fell to the ground, as my life drained from my soul. All my damage was repaired, when all my suffering was finally gone.
