My Wild Side

My Wild Side

A Story by Dali Stroesser
"

self-explanatory :)

"
A rustle in the underbrush made me jump. I leaped up suddenly, grappling onto a tree branch. My claws hurt under the weight of my dangling body as I flung myself up. Whatever it was, it won't find me now, unless it was one of those wild dogs. I really don't know what to do about those....
One foot in front of the other, I had no trouble balancing. My wings ached from that fall, and I didn't want to stretch them just yet.
I suppose I could call myself an unusual sort. I'm a lot smaller than most of my kind, but this enables me to shred through the forests instead of only above them. But I do sometimes wish I were a sky giant like the rest. I guess I will just have to live with it.
