Spelebrill woke to a low, mourning howl. He got to his feet,
stirring up a light cloud of dust from the pine-needles. Peering through heavy shafts of golden light, he barely recognized Celyk's sleek form turned up in a cry of despair. He stepped out of his make-shift nest on quiet paws as he neared her.
