Where We Stand Still

Where We Stand Still

A Poem by Dali Stroesser

Reach deep, deeper still,
You haven't cracked the shell yet.
We spread like roots to every rock.
To break the stones is our will.
Yet the speechless living things
Can cut the ribbon and hide
In unfathomable darkness
That breaks our wings.
