every wish

every wish

A Poem by letters to parvati

every wish

every whisper

every flush of my cheeks

are but reflections of you

of your love for me

of your sacrifice to save the life i do not hold dear

my life

a shamble of wood and cement, glass and plastic

encasing my only gift to you

a gift i have kept to myself, for fear

for jealously

forever drowning in a misery i dug in a lake of sunflowers and irises

my heart

it means nothing to me

it means everything to you

but you left anyway, because i am not worthy of your virtue

Very sad, I suppose. I especially like the line; "A shamble of wood and cement". That word, "shamble" is very catchy. The metaphors are very good.
