A Poem by letters to parvati

when i was young, my Aunt Nadia told me to live happy

to dance on Saturdays til 3am

& go home with men that you may or may not love

but were fun

she had two husbands, the 1st disappeared & steered clear of her craziness

the 2nd couldn't leave

even when she left the carpets dirty

ate out of paper bags

smoked reefers in the john during her period

she hated his lovesickness, his dependence on her abnormality

the thing he does with his teeth and tongue

so she stayed to prove a point

she cursed to me, "the meaning of life is moaning to a new tune."

she cried in the bathroom while shaving her legs

i drank vodka and cranberry

I found this very interesting. I know its a poem, but to me it is a short story. I found myself wanting to know about this crazy lady you describe. She sounds a lot like me. Very cool!
