City of Angels

City of Angels

A Poem by letroit

Just some lyrics I wrote https://soundcloud.com/letroit

"
Man walked down by the railway track and never looked back
Looked down beneath the broken line, and what did he see
Water flowed beneath the broken line
Did he look? Or did he jump? No one knows

We don't complain in the city of angels
We feel the same in the city of angels

Woman lies in a cardboard box under the broken bridge
Fire from the fire can keeps her warm
She thinks about a time, when she wasn't down and out
No one ever knew
No one ever knew

We don't complain in the city of angels
We feel the same in the city of angels

I know this boy. He looks like you and me
All he ever wanted was a family
But all he ever got was bruises and misery
So I took him by his hand and helped him to his feet

We don't complain in the city of angels
We feel the same in the city of angels
