Inconsistence

Inconsistence

A Poem by Eve

I'm almost done with my games
And with your own charades
Just give me a name
Something with less shame
Than the one you gave me
When I was nothing but a baby

Give me something that isn't disgusting
Or deriving
Give me a name that doesn't remind me
Of who I was when I was trusting

Give me a name
That doesn't speak of the b***h you filled full of shame
I know f**king my mother wasn't the same
As loving the one who made you feel aflame
But that doesn't change the game of changing my name

I'm almost done with the words that cut through
The veil you knew I wouldn't be able to see through
Now that I have just give me a name that doesn't give me deja vu
Then I'll give you a tattoo
One that'll never let you forget what you put us through
And we can finally be done with you

It's not one of my best pieces, but it was fun to write.

It "feels" real and angry as hell... and has a distinct aftertaste. Sometimes speaking up and out is all one can do.

Good piece;
" I'll give you a tattoo
One that'll never let you forget what you put us through
And we can finally be done with you"

Love especially the big finish!
Ties it all up sweet and clean.
Very nice, Eve.

I will admit to a pinch of disappointment just as I went to read it...I thought that the title was "INCONTINENCE"...

Thank you so much!
Now, this is good. Great attitude and style to this flow of the poem. That kicks a*s.
